Basically, what I was hoping to do was erase the old memory, and let it run on stock mapping. If its gonna relearn the same old maps that could have caused the problem, I'll have to reset it every month. 😒

Again I'm Telling You Check Your Earth Wire. And Bypass It To Negative Terminal Of The Battery. You Will Have A Peace Of Mind And Better Performance.

      Trust Me...

When the engine stalls does the console goes for a self check?

I once had a issue with fan relay, for which I made a temporary setup. There was a loose contact due to which I faced random stalling. So you can check the electrical connection in ur next troubleshooting step.

Hey guys a couple of weeks back I changed my front brake lines to steel braided ones from thailand. I'm not sure of the name of the brand as my uncle picked them up but I will put the name tomorrow. As for experience in a non abs model, I can immediately feel a major difference in front braking. Earlier front brakes very spongy n I had a few close calls, now with this brake lines, my braking bite has improved a good fair bit and many close situations which I could have had have been eliminated, I'll post a few pictures below, also I drained out my front brake fluid, removed the OEM line, fixed the steel ones, and had to bleed the brake oil for about 10 minutes ,before it became a bit hard but not too much, overall I'm pretty pleased with the braking, will post about long term usage in the future as its been only a couple of weeks.

This is Ram from Bangalore and this is my first post in this forum. I need a bit of info from the recent buyers of CBR250 in Bangalore.

So after a lot of research I decided to opt for CBR250R ABS as my first bike. I booked for the white colored one with black fairing from Ananda Honda in the last week of April. The dealer person said the waiting will be one month. Since then I have been hooked on to this thread.

But now it was already more than 3 weeks and not getting any dispatch status from the dealer, I went and inquired . They said the Honda CBR250 bikes were having relay switch issues and that was the reason for the delay. He said the bike should dispatch in another 2-3 weeks, of which I was really skeptical. Because he tried to sell me non-ABS versions. The only ABS he has in stock is a old full red color model which I am worried might have been used as a test ride bike.

Upon asking with other dealers none of them have ABS version on stock. Most of the dealers I spoke to were indifferent which put me off, "It might take one month or two months, we dont know". One of them even claimed 6 months waiting period.

So guys who bought CBR ABS recently, how much was your waiting period? And is there any info on this relay switch issue which is apparently delaying production?
Unfortunately this has been the case always with CBR250 buyers, most showrooms have a tasteless attitude. The six month waiting period is totally bogus, even though the production is ongoing currently at the max one can expect a month and not more than that. If you like the ABS version, it's highly unlikely they'd have used it for test drive purposes. As long the bike is pristine, without chaff marks, odo reading less than 15 to 20 then the display bike is absolutely fine.

Try the ECU reset and then the earth mod as suggested by fellow user. Keep us posted.

            Cheers!

            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

The earth wire mod will be next; reason I haven't gone for it so far is that I have full electrical power, when the bike turns off. Horns, lights, indicators, fan, all working. Charging voltage is 14.13-14.30 volts irrespective of engine rpm.

When the bike shuts off, if I thumb the starter again it starts within a second. But idle rpm continues to be low, and the bike shuts off again. If I toggle the kill switch off/on, and then thumb the starter, the idle rpm goes back to 2k on start, and 1.6k thereafter.

On my recent 660km trip, this auto shut off happened thrice, all three times when I had the clutch pulled in for a second to change gears in traffic. I made it a habit to toggle kill switch on/off while waiting in traffic to avoid this problem.

Now completed 2600 kms on Honda 10w30 mineral. Bike is still smooth. 2 false neutrals so far.

Guys - My bike is just 10 days old. While checking out the battery today, seems like that to has been manufactured in Aug 2014. Am i right in assuming it basis the picture attached.

That sticker denotes the voltage rating of the battery if am not wrong.

13.19v/14.08 - seems peculiar. I don't think its the manufacturing date either. Could those numbers be - voltage of that battery when fully charged/max charging voltage?

I presume that you are in Chennai. If you get the earth wire mod done, let me know where you got it done. I am thinking of getting it.

i highly doubt that these ecu's can be 'reset' by simply disconnecting the battery.
it might require their diagnostic tool to be connected to do it. but first have them read out the dtc's (diagnostic trouble codes) and fix the issue and then clear the dtc's if any and then reset the ecu using their tool.

if you want check for proper earthing, then first check the voltage between the positive terminal and the frame of the bike (since the negative is grounded to the frame). next identify the ground points on the bike (it might have more than one) and ensure they are fixed correctly.

as for your engine shutting off, it could be due to bad fueling (bad fuel/clogged injector/clogged fuel filter/fuel pump acting up) , bad spark plug or faulty ignition wire/coil.
one easy thing you try though is to fill up fuel from a different fuel station and use a dose of system g or adon p (available at bharat petroleum or ioc bunks respectively). add around 40ml (higher dose) for a tankful of fuel and do a couple of highway sprints keeping the rpm's fairly higher for a few short stretches (not close to red line but say around 6000rpm in 4th gear).
repeat with another tankful, this time using a normal dose i.e. 1ml per litre of fuel.

Hey guys I posted earlier about a custom made exhaust, I'm back on my stock one till I fabricate a better design on stainless steel. I'm plannin to use the header of this pipe and change ,2nd part of the exhaust into a better a more refined design in stainless steel with a carbon fibre muffler, I know many were skeptical, but I'm plannin to make one by this month end, I'll post pics of my prototype of this exhaust, this is not at all the final product, have to work on design n sizing a bit. Also if you notice this header pipe has a nob for the ecu remap. Wat shown below is not the final exhaust obviously, still have to make my mouth part, the exhaust header seems perfect.

Am planning to fabricate one, already spoke to benelli Chennai, they were interested and many customers enquired apparently.

No if u look closely on the header , u can see a nob, its to control the air fuel ratios.
