Rs. 1280 for Rear Brake pads

      Rs.1900 - 2000 for Front brake pads

      These are for Nissin ABS.

      Cheers!

Do these brake pads only fit on the abs variant?

        Taking a wild guess:

The answer to your query is YES. C-ABS model comes with 3 piston calipers up front. So, the pad dimensions would be different than non ABS models.

Guys, need some gyaan here - Fed up with the random shut off of my cbr250, I decided to reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes, hoping to clear its memory.

After doing that, the bike felt smoother, with crisp acceleration.

Can somebody confirm if its actually due to the ecu reset or a placebo effect?

Yes.. They are for abs model only. Same with non abs one.. They cannot b fitted on an abs model.
Also Both of them have some different kind of groves that allow them to fit in

Guys i'm facing a peculiar issue. Sometimes when i try to shift down from 5th to 3rd or 2nd, it just doesn't shift. The shifter doesn't go down. I have to depress the clutch a little bit and then press it again and then it shifts.. Feels like its getting stuck somewhere:banghead:
The gearshifts are a bit clunky but not hard to shift. What might be the issue??

If you are trying to shift more than one gear when the bike is in standstill, it is difficult. For example, after a sudden stop, shifting from 6th to first gear will be difficult. What I do is stamp on the gear and simultaneously press-release the clutch multiple times. It is the same for my friends fz.

Yes, as DS also explained, the front of the CBR has three piston and the pad is longer and better quality than the Bybre ones. These pads effectively fit the NISSIN ones, and not the Bybre ones.

P.S. ABS is not offered with Bybre calipers
ABS is ONLY offered with NISSIN Calipers both front and back.

International variants too have ABS optional but the calipers are made by NISSIN for both ABS and non ABS. Here in India non-ABS is made by ByBre

Normal. Give it some time, the bike is brand new, adjust your clutch play, new bike are always on the tighter side, post 3k the bike beds in slowly.

It might and well, might not be a placebo, here's why. Actually, ECU reset does work, for some it works -- well temporarily and then it haunts them again. What I would suggest is help the ECU relearn the parameters. Just rev it to the moon occasionally, and then normal, do this pattern for two to three days so the ECU adapts to your riding style. If you go sedate, then the ECU takes time to learn you hard rev parameters.

Just like how you do a break-in, occasional rev to the moon, normal riding, rev it up, and normal, vary the RPM while riding, that's key. If your issue is solved you would know within a month of riding.

                  Keep us posted, leech.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                  The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Buddy not at standstill, when the bike is still moving.. Maybe it needs time to bed in..

Thanks buddy. Will get the clutch play adjusted and will give it some time to bed in..

Blackthorn, I did the rev business 2 whole months of March and April. Still faced the stalling issue on long rides, >4 km. Its annoying in traffic, and dangerous on the highway. I'm pinning my hopes on the ecu reset theory.

Let me explain it a little bit, revving the motor when you have had your problem won't yield any positive results. Now, when you reset the ECU, this disconnect and reconnect, the ECU temporarily forgets all your old riding parameters, so basically it goes into short term memory loss. Now when you reconnect the battery, the ECU is psudo-clean slate, trying to learn your riding parameters again, so what you are essentially doing is help the ECU relearn your riding style, wide open throttle, partial throttle, and normal riding style, helps the ECU "RECALIBRATE" itself.

As I mentioned earlier, if you don't observe this stalling after this ECU calibration for a month or two then you're all set. If it haunts again, then we'll have to check something else, but for now, let's wait and observe. Keep your inputs posted.

                          Cheers!

                            Hello all,
This is Ram from Bangalore and this is my first post in this forum. I need a bit of info from the recent buyers of CBR250 in Bangalore.

So after a lot of research I decided to opt for CBR250R ABS as my first bike. I booked for the white colored one with black fairing from Ananda Honda in the last week of April. The dealer person said the waiting will be one month. Since then I have been hooked on to this thread.

But now it was already more than 3 weeks and not getting any dispatch status from the dealer, I went and inquired . They said the Honda CBR250 bikes were having relay switch issues and that was the reason for the delay. He said the bike should dispatch in another 2-3 weeks, of which I was really skeptical. Because he tried to sell me non-ABS versions. The only ABS he has in stock is a old full red color model which I am worried might have been used as a test ride bike.

Upon asking with other dealers none of them have ABS version on stock. Most of the dealers I spoke to were indifferent which put me off, "It might take one month or two months, we dont know". One of them even claimed 6 months waiting period.

So guys who bought CBR ABS recently, how much was your waiting period? And is there any info on this relay switch issue which is apparently delaying production?

Sale of CBR 250R has gone really low, specially after the launch of Mojo. And with so less stock at the dealership, I think Honda is gearing up for the launch of its upgrade
