CBR250 is a very capable bike, no doubt about that but I feel that I need a softer seat as I frequently go on long mountain rides which involve riding 10-12hrs per day and off roading too.
    btw I am 5'9 and weigh 70kg.
I have done 3 rides on my cbr and after each ride both of my wrists pain.
Is there any guidline regarding sitting posture?
    Cant comment on seat.
But i feel that this wrist pain thing is common until you get used to its riding posture.

When i bought my bike back in 2011 i also faced wrist pain problem. But just the wrist pain
An yeah i felt it after every ride.

As the time passed, I got used to it. And since then never felt it.
So probably its stays until & unless you get used to it.
    Burn the rubber, they said

Currently we don't have the provision to include videos from ones PC, it's done by links to reduce metadata cluttering. Coming to the issue, the bike clearly seems to burble, at a particular RPM before giving up. Was the issue prevalent irrespective of the fuel used or are you observing this issue after a recent tank up of fuel elsewhere? If yes, bad fuel can perhaps be the issue.

Secondly, what I'd suggest is hold the throttle wide open and crank the bike for five to six seconds, in the morning if she refuses to start up. If you're unsure about the fuel I'd suggest drain the fuel using siphon hose, and try using a better quality fuel from another station. All these are guesstimates from what I was able to observe from your video.

        Either the injectors are clogged
        Bad/moisture in fuel
        Dirty fuel filter
Check your air filter and see how it is, too clogged a air filter too can bog the engine starving of sufficient air. Try cranking the bike with the air filter removed if she comes to life, you know what to do next.

        Keep us posted.

        Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I am second owner of my CBR, it was ridden 6400km when I bought it 2 months ago.
I have many queries so I am dividing it in parts

Part1 One thing I find inconveniet to my riding style is its windshield. I recently got this windshield installed over the stock one

This too is not that effective and throws wind to neck level and also kills the look of the bike so I removed it.
I have also heard of double bubble windshield...can someone tell me how good is that and from where can I get it?

            Part2

Stock tyre was worn out and I was not getting confidance on corners. I changed it to Vee Rubber off road tyre 130/80-17 @9500km odo.
On my first ride after tyre change I noticed that odometer is giving some 3-4% error(lesser than the actual). Is it because of tyre change?

            Part3

On my recent ride a part of my saddle bag was burnt because of exhaust fumes so I got a small pipe welded on the exhaust opening. Is it safe to have this?
Exhaust sound is very slightly changed

1.Check the fairing and whole body for scratches
              2. Check the exhaust heat shield for scratches (this can be scratched easily that's why)
              3. Check the tyres, tyre pressure.
              4. Switch it on and check the odo reading.
              5. Open the pillion seat and check if all items are present in the toolkit, check if first aid kit is provided.
              6. Check the monoshock settings(stiff or soft)
              7. Check the amount of fuel in the tank. I got 3 litres complimentary so make sure you ask them!
              8. Check if all lights are working, including pass light, high beam.
              9. Check brake fluid levels in front and rear reservoirs.
You're good to go! Be patient, I know its not possible when you see your bike. You tend to forget everything
Do post some snaps! Which color did you opt for? And make sure you are getting Mrf tyres.

Thank you....let me check and see tomorrow... As I live in chandigarh... Overhere they told...that continental tyres are coming...from the other dealer too. Well what is the difference in grip between continental and MRFs..?? Wet grip variation..??

Yes buddy. Read on this forum many times that continentals don't offer much grip. However I got MRFs with mine (jan2016 model). Ask the dealer whether they can swap tyres with MRFs. I remember someone on this forum had done that.

Part 1: if you are not satisfied with your older setup, i am afraid you might not be satisfied with any other wind screen.

By the way at what speeds you are facing this wind blast??

Part 2: yes, it is due to the change in tyre size.

Part 3: not sure, but unless it's not restricting the air flow it should not be a problem.

Thank you VJ. The issue started after the bike fell to its right while it was parked in the parking. The engine was not started at the time of fall and as soon as the bike fell, I picked her up and parked her back within a couple of seconds and visually inspect but found nothing wrong. I tried to start it after 2-3 hours and it simply refused to start. I also followed the procedure mentioned in the Manual by Honda (open the throttle and keep pressing the self start button for 4-5 seconds or until it starts (whichever is earlier)) but it didn't work. I also checked the air filter after that but that was not clogged. Just to check, I also tried to start it without the air filter and that didn't work either.

I then kept it parked for couple more hours and then tried and it started this time without doing anything different but shut down after couple of minutes after these hiccups and has been doing this since then. Now interestingly, I tried to start it today morning again and as expected, it again started and after the engine warmup, I opened the throttle (around 4K RPM) and kept it like that. After couple of seconds of heavy stuttering, RPM rose to 5-6K RPM and it started stuttering then. I started to twist the throttle a bit and it was now fine till 5-6K RPM but stuttering beyond that. After couple more seconds, it started running fine completely but then again a couple of hiccups and then it shut down. This time it again didn't start. Tried to start it again after around 10 hours but still not starting.
I can try to drain the fuel but I don't think its bad fuel because after refueling last time, I have rode it for more than 80 KMs and all went fine and this all started after that damn fall

Since you've mentioned fall to the right, bank angle sensor is what comes to my mind. Try checking the bank angle sensor, does your gauge display any error codes, blinking MIL? Perhaps the bank angle sensor just "might" be the culprit here, especially when taken a fall in consideration. Try taking it to SVC and check for bank angle sensor issues or fuel pump, I suspect these two.

Also do keep a tab on wiring, check for any loose connections, especially near the throttle body, check for any loose connections, let's start with basics, try removing and putting back the fuel pump relay on the left side of the bike, check any and every wiring pin connectors you can visually inspect and keep us posted.

                          Cheers!

cost and manufacturer. P220 lines are also steel braided with rubber covering. those are also a direct fit for CBR250r.

Exhaust sound is very slightly changed

part 1 : i have done trips over trips over trips in past 4 years including ladakh. the stock windsheild works just fine. unless your helmet is loose i have not seen any kind of issue. times when i and many have toured in triple digits for hours without any issues.

part 2 : stock cbr speedo itself is 7% over optimistic. now yu have downsized the tyre and yes thats what is adding to the speedo error. and low FE and low top end.
move back to 140/70 - michelin, MRF, pirelli , Dunlop, Ceat .. all have good tyres in stock size..

part 3 : unless the saddle bag is loose or unbalanced it will not hit the exhaust. if you tried the enfield big saddle bags on cbr they are bound to burn.
run a bungee from behind the bags to either side and it will protect those.

that pipe look hideous man.. why would you do such a thing.
and that tyre for sure will kill your handling

                              1. get the forks alignment and condition checked. also check for warped disc rotor. i am sure its the disc rotor. check the pads for uneven wear.
                              2. no bike will stop insttantly with any break however if you meant by you feeling the bite coming into picture after 5-0 meters then get the pad cleaned and rubbed.
if you havent changed the brake fluids then flush old one and put new one and repeat every year.
                              3. this is not even an issue unless you explain further . but if there is sound get the clutch cable slack checked.

I'd love to know more on this, any insights you can share of, with respect to ABS models retrofitted with steel braided ones.
