Re: Honda CBR 250R
If you are in for sprocketing, you can opt for a device called SpeedoDRD which will recalibrate the speedo, but it's a mod that costs more than the actual sprocketing procedure...The best option would be to use GPS and your intuition.Originally posted by ecenandu View Post

bbsrailfan. You are right there. Part No 7 is the probe. The wire emerging this was once gnawed away by rats at the parking spot and I had to have the whole part replaced for Rs 2250!Originally posted by bbsrailfan View PostIf i have understood correctly, the wheel sensor is purely for ABS calibration purposes. There is a different sensor near the crankcase for the actual measurement. See the image below, part#7

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hello Friends,
I am new joinee to this forum and this is my 1st post.. I am from nashik. I bought a new CBR250R C-ABS last month and got the 1st servicing a few days back with ODO reading at 600kms. The bike is pretty exciting but i am in a city where i dont have confidence on the service centre guys...I have some queries:
1. From the start, when i reved up the baby a bit, i could hear a mild "chittering" sound from the front side, to the right hand. seemed like coming from the front right fairing. The service centre guy said he will rectify it during the 1st servicing but it is still there. Its a bit annoying and scares me a bit. i try not to rev it up a lot... Does anyone else had this problem? need your suggestions....
2. I have read in this forum abt chattering in the engine and the valve clearance and the SHIM size. I specifically requested the honda guy to check the valve clearance and he said that it was fine. but i cant be sure if he had done it. How do i know if the clearance is ok?? Please bear that i am not a pro-rider and just starting to learn these tech stuff.
3. After the 1st servicing, when i turn the ignition, all the electronics blink good but when i start the bike, the temp bar shows 0 reading and only after approx. 5 mins it slowly goes to 3. This wasnt the case earlier. I am not sure if the connection for the thermostat is loose. whats ur take on this??
Looking forward to your replies and suggestions... Also, would be great to know any CBR owner from Nashik...

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I'm experiencing a rattling sound as well but only when the bike is not in motion after starting, it disappears once it's at a slight rev even. Started after the recently done service, noticed only now as the helmet usually blocks off the sound" life is boring. its static, monotonous and depressing. At least up until i flip the switch and press the starter, that's when i go...OH BABY!"

Try to zero in on the location of the rattling sound..Originally posted by zaf7ant View PostI'm experiencing a rattling sound as well but only when the bike is not in motion after starting, it disappears once it's at a slight rev even. Do check if its from the fairing.
While servicing they had to remove the right fairing to get access to the oil filter, on which they may not have installed any of the three plastic clips which hold the fairings intact.

1. Check for any loose parts around the radiator area & fairing.
2. Take it to service centre and ask them to rectify the issues with your presence.
3. Its normal, do keep an eye on the temp. indicator not to exceed 3 bars.

found the culprit, it's my bent and damaged number plate that is bent and rattling, so glad

i will try to look closely and i hope that even my case the issue is as small as the number plate.
The problem in Nashik is that there is only one guy who services the CBR bikes and whenever i go, there is always 2-3 bikes under maintenance... So, he says that it will take time and he can deliver only next day. I already had a big argument with the service centre manager the last time i was there. Its really hopeless to rely on them. Thats y i asked if i can myself understand if the clearance is ok. The engine sound is good, even a bit smoother after the 1st service but i cant be sure, right :P
But thanks for your reply

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Nice mate. My 6months old CBR clocked only 2008kms till today. Had only 1 trip of 200km and daily office ride. No other trip. Planning to ride tomorrow a bit long.Originally posted by Shiv_beam View PostClocked 2.5K km today on my way back from chennai to perambalur.
