    ₹4500 for painting
The silver parts on the fairing (hear headlamps and near the engine) would cost a total of ₹ 2000 to replace in black. Not sure about the under-seat cowls. Getting them painted at any local paintshop may work out cheaper.

editk , I forgot the alloys. Didn't enquire about the alloys as I prefer to keep my alloys in the stock silver.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Was quoted a total of 1980 for replacing all the silver parts!

And yes painting includes the alloys and the foot peg parts, the alloys alone were quoted near 3k outside.

            Hey guys,

My chainset needs a replacement. Its been 16500 kms...I am thinking of going one tooth down on the front sprocket to increase the accelaration. Has anybody tried this setup. Could anyone tell me the pros and cons. The main concern is will it effect the engine and life of the new chainset?

I guess you didn't get me. My question was how can an ABS version cost less than the std version..even if its new.

Its second hand. Hence the less price.

Sid...guess you got confused. I m sure OP meant that he got a used ABS one for 1.34L...and yours was a new STD for 1.65L...

Unsure if anyone has tried a 13T at front. Most people try a 15T up front.

A 13T at the front will definitely increase your acceleration but at the cost of a stressed engine and an unusable 1st gear (1st gear is already so short-geared in stock setup). FE might drop by 2-3 kpl. You can actually check the change in performance on gearingcommander.

Drop in top.end by 5%.. estimated.. 1st is already short you will get pissed soon in traffic..

Increase in acceleration will be good however you won't still be able to get the rev limiter to cut off in top gear..

Drop in fe as stated can be 2-4 kmpl

Thanks guys. Though I would have loved a little more accelaration but don't want to stress the engine. Will stick to stock

This post needs a very quick reply, preferably by a fone call at 9624349964 (Rajkot number)

I have been posted out of Rajkot to a place in Rajasthan and will be riding up to join my new duty. Presently, I use Cramster Colt saddle bags (the upturned exhaust compatible ones, hope the name is right). But they are a bit frayed and unsightly now. Also, their capacity is less for my projected usage in the years ahead.

I plan to invest in the Rynox Nomad V2 bags but am not sure if they are compatible with the CBR due to the upturned exhaust.

Please, could anybody here send me a foto with the bags installed on the bike OR advise me about the aforementioned compatibility issue? I need a reply very fast as I have less than 2 days to decide and acquire the bags.

                              Waiting for a reply yesterday

Sirjee, found this video review of Rynox Nomad (not the V2) and mounting on a CBR. Might be worthwhile to watch:
