Re: Honda CBR 250R
Have been using it since 1 year no issues at all. And the wattage is not increased, the stock buld is 55/60 w too and extrem vision gves better lighting than stock though I might go for HID + rojector set up soon. For 1000 bucks, you get 2 bulbs and a pair of pilot lamps.Originally posted by saikarthik View PostSiddhartha

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Probably because the pass switch is directly connected to the DC system (i.e. the battery) and not through the AC electricals on the Unicorn. That's why it works even when the bike is not on. I'm sure there wouldn't be any difference when you try using the pass switch at a higher speed.Originally posted by tensorThanks. It makes sense. Now with these new electrical systems everything is already on DC, hence no difference between using the pass switch and the high beam.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hey guys,
A couple of questions :
1) Has anyone removed the front number plate. I guess its fixed with the headlight support. Do we have to cut it off or can it be removed somehow.
2) Has anyone tried a HID + projector set up? If yes, what the projrctor size...like 2.5 inches, 3 inches?Siddhartha

i have seen a few cbr's with Reg. numbers on the windscreen and the front plate support can be removed. you wont need to cut it.

3inch PJ is hard to find. even i am hunting for big projector. 2", 2.5" are common sizes.
bare bone HID+projector can cost 4k including fitting etc or ever lesser and then upper limit is north of 15k
with PJ's like morimoto+ philips 6k HID+ angel lamps(single-dual) , demon eye .. etc etc jazzy setups..

Re: Honda CBR 250R
What is the ideal way to run-in the engine? The service manual just instructs to avoid sudden throttle bursts for the first 500km or so. I'm sure there is a detailed explanation to this.
What procedure have CBR owners used and what has been their experience?

You can find all that information in the first page of the forum, a few posts by aargee and other members have been mentioned, you can also find methods in my review, link is which is in the signature, where i have explained about run in there.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hi guys
Today I removed the radiator guard off my duke 200.. And noticed that CBRs don't have them by default on one CBR 250R in my parking lot..
I wanted to ask have any of u had any leak/damaged the radiator fins due to stones hitting the radiator fins due to the absence of a radiator guard /cover/protector..??

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Not really the stones are an issue, the radiator is mounted pretty high in CBR,Originally posted by wallpapers123 View PostI wanted to ask have any of u had any leak/damaged the radiator fins due to stones hitting the radiator fins due to the absence of a radiator guard /cover/protector..??
But whenever mud gets accumulated, & if you try to clean it off using pressurized water of brush, the fins get bent..

Are the fins that delicate that they bend on brushing/cleaning with high pressure water..??Originally posted by saikarthik View PostNot really the stones are an issue, the radiator is mounted pretty high in CBR,

The height might be different on the duke..so risk of stones is high

Re: Honda CBR 250R
The engine is sounding a bit rough. Is it because its new or is there some other problem? Also, the shift from 1st to 2nd gear is a little hard and the gearbox makes a loud 'tick' noise indicating a gear change. All other gear shifts are way smoother. Is something up with the gearbox as well?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
It's fine, being a new engine and all, parts are gettign set in, so the friction and resistance is bound to be there. Do check if the radiator fan is kicking in properly. Never let it climb to 4 bars in the meter.Originally posted by rbhasin11 View PostThe engine is sounding a bit rough. Is it because its new or is there some other problem?
