pass light is nothing but quick access to High Beam.. so if you already running with high beam so wont notice any change.

wattage of bulb is not increased with by philips Extreme/diamond vision or by Osram Night Breakers. both are OEM specifications 55/60w.
and infact cheaper than original honda bulb..

Osram NB cost 1050/1100 for a pair..
    Philips - not sure
    Oem Honda- 7xx each.

My bad!!, Sorry was thinking of HS1 bulb instead of H4.. yup wattage doesn't increase.. But there is a life - Lumen balance in bulbs, you get more illumination and you lose life & Vice versa..
So will wait until some one puts up life of night breaker/extreme vision.

        LOL. Uphill!!!
It was straight road actually. Seriously I never expected it to touch 150. Have done it twice, bt impossible to click at the speed. Till 140, you dont need to duck.
One thing I forgot to check, if I was against the wind or with it.
Any ways, whats the Speedo error in CBR? Any idea? And the speedo reading was going like this:141-143-145-147-150. I hate it when speedo misses the numbers.

have been using Osram NB since first week i got the bike. no issues yet. 21k+ done and on regular basis half commuting is in Dark.
if it last 2 years as well i dont mind that 550 bucks i spent. beam spread is better than honda OEM.

said to be 7% speedo error in Asian models while American Mph speedo's are said to be more accurate or say with 2-3% speedo error.
i did speed runs a few times and yes 140 is each. i am 5.11" and 80kg average.beyond 145 in heavy cross winds it took its own sweet time.. but i crossed 150kmph on speedo though never touched 160 as few FM's quoted..

Damn correct, FE is way better in Dunlop compared to shitty conti.. I managed to check 3 times FE while doing a 1000 km run to shimla, i got 30 kmpl avg. on all kinds of roads (Patchy, sandy pot holed haryana roads --> beautiful highways of punjab --> curvy roads(ghats) of shimla )..

You could use a GPS App on your phone to calculate error of your speedo.. but you need an accurate app for that.

CAUTION - Do it on open safe roads & around good cruising speeds kept constant.

I am using Osram Night Breaker since last two years on my CBR.
Illumination is better than stock but not by a great margin.
If you want good light you got to change over to bixenon projector set up.
In fact I am planning to do so myself as soon as I get time.

No, using HID without a projector may be illegal but I think there is no embargo on using a projector set up with HID lamp.
There are bikes which come factory fitted with projector lamps.. Pulsar 220 for example.

Yes you are right on that buddy.
Modifying anything from stock is illegal as per rule.
But I do feel light to be inadequate on highway at night. So planning this change.
If a Pulsar with projector is not stopped by cops then I am sure they will let me ride with the mod.
As such I plan to go for a 4200k bulb not the white kind of show light meant for bling factor.
But I do agree going off from stock without approval is illegal.

You can for better illumination, cops don't know much of rules in 1st place..
Also always they know only one rule, Stop-->attend-->go!

Also take care when choosing bulb, color temperature (above 4000k), light goes bluish ang eyes will feel more fatigue on long rides..

Had checked my RTR with Nokia Lumia GPS. RTR's 130kmph speedo=125 GPS.
Don't know how reliable is that GPS though.
Talking about FE, my bike's worst FE is 30 kmpl. Stays around 33-34 kmpl in normal riding. I top up the tank weekly and measure regularly.

Looks like my unicorn worked differently. Even on high beam, passing light switch would make hand-lamp brighter.
