Are you using Michelin Pilot Street? Someone suggested that I switch to these as soon as I get the bike.

There is this guy i met through facebook, he has a small start up for this kind of thing, costs some 2k or so for a paddock, fits the cbr, duke , ninja, i had posted the link in the duke 390 thread. I might also go in for that soon.

Mate, the new models since last year have been coming in with dual horns, which are very much loud and no need to replace them.

If you can afford to change the tyres on delivery time itself, that will be a great thing.

Yeah, i guess so, the name is Gaurav , i suppose.

And about the horns, yes, the 2013 version with the new colors got the dual horns, i guess, getting it swapped form the svc will be the easiest way to do it.

Does this mean that the bike comes with single horn and I have the option of switching it to the dual one at Honda itself?

no no. The pre 2013 bikes were with one horn. The updated models from 2013 onwards all have dual horns, so if you are getting your bike now, it should have dual horns.

Then i'll have to check that while taking delivery because the horn on the bike I test rode didn't have a dual horn for sure.

You must have test ridden the older pre 2013 model bike, most of the showrooms have the older bikes for test ride, not the new models

In fact, I think I rode one of the bikes waiting for delivery. The dealer didn't have a test ride bike at all and the salespeople refused to give me a test ride. It is only after I showed seriousness in booking one and told them that I won't book till I get a test ride that they took out one of the bikes from the showroom and let me ride it. I rode the tricolor ABS model and I have booked the red ABS one.

Thats some serious mods. Do let me know the the difference in performance after getting the 15T spocket. One of my freind here went in for sprocket mod in his CBR600RR and his fe dropped from 18 kmpl to around 10 kmpl. So I am a little sceptical about the 15T sprocket mod since CBR already has less fuel range for a full tank. Also, please let me know the cost and size of the hid + projector as well the pic after u have done re-coloring of the allows. As of now, I have balck in my mind for alloys so that the lube sprinkles do no show up after lubing the chain.

If you are interested, I have Joel's quote for the brake set up for CBR. I can give it to you.

thats very rare scenario of FE dropping to like 50% i assume it wasn't just one teeth change he went for. he might have changed the complete gearing ratio by increasing/decreasing at both front and rear sprocket. been a part of international CBR forum and people are running with 15-36 comppared to 14-38 ratio of stock which is way too tall and even then getting good mpg as far lower cruising rpm....

1 teeth will bring down 500 rpm at max and wont affect MPG unless i push it hard. @icemang sir and @bbsrailfan are already using 15T i guess.

regarding PJ setup. it will be done post suspension (next week) followed by rim paint(at the earliest i decide) then PJ setup (need some R&D and morimoto projector)

Where in Karol Bagh did you buy them from? And for how much?

Sorry, I just read an earlier post where you've mentioned 9k as the cost of the tyres. Which shop was this? I would also like to know more about the Bosch horns that you've got.
