huge vibes can be due to only chain dry/ incorrect slack + shims.. if its valves or timing chain tensioner it will make a hell of noise even at 50kmph..
if you plan to ride only for the service for 500 km which will be like an 1000 km ride and added expenses and no other purpose i would suggest not to do so.
pm me. i will send you contact. lets sort it out over a phone discussion and few pointers that might help you.

Update: In case if you are having a hard time finding an oil filter for CBR250R in chennai as of now, the following SVCs have them in stock.

KSN Honda, No.49/32, Anjugam Nagar Second Street, Jaffarkhanpet Opp To Kasi Theater 600083 (044) 24710721
SVM Honda, No. 65 Medavakkam Tank Road, Kilpauk, Chennai 600010 044-26650278, 79
I've called almost all the honda dealers in chennai on 5-4-14, but none of the big guys have them in stock. Finally bought 2 nos from KSN honda for Rs. 300/- each.

I've booked my CBR and i'm expecting delivery in the coming week. I've heard that the stock tyres aren't good on wet surface and I've been advised to change to Pirelli Sport Demon or Michelin Pilot Street. What would you suggest?

as far as i have heard newer conti go's are better than what we guys got. mine had 21 punctures in a span of just 2 months once i crossed 10k mark without any nails or so
hence cursed abused and threw the tyre. moved to dunlop at rear and IRC at front. not sure or michelin however few folks managed to get Pirelli sport demon. i would suggest use the tyre for 10k or so and then swap to a better one. nothing major unless you are little too harsh over the throttle..

This will the first bike for me and i'm going to be light on it at least for the first few thousand kms. Post the run-in period and me getting used to regular biking, I intend to use it for touring as well.

I read on a lot of ownership threads and forums that the stock tyres don't inspire too much confidence on anything but dry tarmac. That is why this thought of changing them at the beginning crossed my mind.

Well you can stay with stock Conti for few K kms on ODO as theironhorse99 suggested. I felt a few skids of my rear tyre last monsoon. And my bike was just 2 / 3 months old at that time.

I would say its manageable unless you are pushing your ride too much.

this is your first bike and this thing is heavy so ride safe and ride slow.. skids will eventually happen with any tyre if you apply sudden brakes on wet surface. conti's have less roll on resistance hence less traction. but manageable nothing worst until you ride sane..

tyres and brake pads will take a few 100 kms to settle well. be gentle on her.
keep the chain slack correct. rains coming soon. lube chain every 500 km
                              get a tank pad.
check the ground and then park.
avoid keeping items on tank. it leaves swirls/scratches.
when taking delivery check all plastics. odo reading.
                              rim bend etc..
                              coolant level.

avoid riding with shorts for 1000km. it will get hot and its normal
and in traffic the fan will kick in and will burn your legs
