This may be in preparation for the recently unveiled CBR300 or the facelifted 250.
This is why I've postponed my purchase plans by atleast 2 mnths to see what happens in Jan

Does anyone know what's HMSI's status regarding this? I'm guessing they'll unveil their plan at the Auto Expo, which means there will be good discounts by dealers on the 250R stock

Have anyone here done something for pillion back rest for CBR250? I mean any luggage carrier which would work as back rest as well or something like that? Without the back rest it would be difficult for my wife to do such a long distance ride.

Please note that I would like to have this back rest for this ride only. So the solution should NOT be permanent. I will surely remove the back rest after this ride and want to reuse that in my future long rides.

I need your help, please assist guys.
Can anyone please answer my queries?

Been quite ok till now. With this oil change i am expecting a fresh feel from the engine. The run-in was not quite over until i hit some 1.5k kms or so. And been running around with that oil till now.
Will be asking them to change the oil filter too.

Actually adding a pillion rest won't give you better result infact it will add issues to pillion.
Pillion rest would probably be better for those bikes which have up right riding position same for pillion as well.
But in CBR it's not that up right. It has a medium type of sports riding position, same goes for pillion as well.
Pillion would be some how be leaning on rider. If back rest is added then in any jerk or uneven roads same rest would hurt back.
If pillion don't lean than it won't give better control/ ideal riding scenario for CBR.
This is what I have seen as pillion on CBR or R15.
Back rest would go with Avenger/TB/CL, etc...

HA HA ...no way bro,i have ridden your bike and know what it is capable of , it's a sheer delight to ride it in city with its razor sharp handling....next on my list is mods to front suspension,re-positioning of gear shifter and brake pedal like yours and yes those adjustable clutch and front brake levers.

Why bother with out of the way showrooms & service centers ?Ask for 5000/- discount & buy Mich radial.

So guys, second service done on Friday.
                          Total bill Rs 1239/-
Had insisted on oil filter change, they were a bit reluctant, but changed it with me insisting on it.

Had a few complaints like the rear tyre right side collapsing and uneven wear. They have taken photographs of the damage on the tyre for sending it to Continental tyres for applying for a replacement. Hopefully will be getting a new tyre soon.

Another complaint i had was that the overflow hole in the feul tank cap area was plugged shut with some dirt and stuff, they cleared that out for it.

So , the service experience was all well and good, like first service. The mech knows what they are doing and are very careful at work. I service my Bike from John's Honda , Puzhakal , Trichur(For people who are from nearby trichur, i would recommend this place)

                          Cheers

Want to change the horn of my CBR. What would be the cost for a dual horn ?. And will it be like R15 v2's horn. Want a horn which makes CBR difference from R15 v2

                                Need your assistance:
I was cleaning my bike this morning and noticed that a rubber flap was visible on the right hand side(rhs) above cylinder (it was literally flapping in the wind). Probably something delicate was wrapped with this rubber...that came apart? It was touching the cylinder head...so in case of riding the heat may melt this rubber flap? I knew something wasn't right.

Also, the left side..between the tank and panel (when viewed from riders seat.. near clip on) a white IC type thingy was visible . Not sure I ve seen it so exposed before...probably some controller for the radiator. May be a covered rubber has gone missing? It doesn't look like it can get wet in rain..very delicate looking.

The bike starts without any fuss...haven't ridden it though.I recently got my bike fork fixed...as the oil seal gave way and flowed into the front brake caliper.....

I m not sure if I can blame the Honda service centre folks for this. Or, was it some type of a theft attempt. Anyone noticed similar in your bike? I park my bike in my house...with no pesky handy around. However, some steel spares have gone missing before nearby my parking..
