    Hello,

So I had been thinking, rip off a 2013 ECU and plug it in the 2012 model

Iam sure that one can purchase off a ASC?

    Cheers

BTW congrats on Duke. Took a test ride but somehow miss the bike's meat to performance ratio. If it was a bit bulkier my booking to it will also be along with yours. But simply fell in love with its performance. Just the rear lacked a little confidence.

      Okay, that sounds good.
And yes, I agree to your point that it looks a little puny but that is what helps it keep the kilos down and gives it a holy mother of cow power to weight ratio.

It would have been perfect if it appeared like the duke 690. I may still get the red cbr250. A little confused right now, have been riding the duke 200, fine with the acceleration but required a little more top end for highway rides. So, the cbr might as well be good enough for me and specially when the new colors look kickass!

Depends on your luck. But if you give your bike in evening, surely it will be done only on the next day..
Thanks for the reply - Actually what I meant was, according to ASC, when does the engine become 'cool' - if I reach ASC in the morning, will the ASC do the valve clearance check in the evening around 3-4 PM or do they usually insist on leaving the bike overnight?

Instead of stock ECU you can for Takegawa ECU which is priced similar to stock and has handful advantages like remappable and especially off rev limiter.

Thanks, Will think of getting one, when my bike is old enough. But for information, does anyone in the forum has put one in their bike?
or any place where I can start researching for one?

If its for mostly highway rides you should definitely look at CBR. The roll on torque, refinement and comfort posture is simply a bliss in highways.

No idea. But I am trying to get one but the shipping cost is really too much. So trying to source it via contacts

Just google 'Takegawa for cbr250r'. They have a handful of other products too.

Keeping my fingers crossed that whatever the brochure says is applicable for the indian model, if anyone can shed some more light on this.

80 -90k as mileage is close to 20k kms. Past this the steed will ask for replacements due to wear and tear which is a very common mindset of anyone who knows bike's basics. And also used market is competitive. Even mine is 3 month old and 1.6k kms on odo, and it was painted to repsol edition using OEM paints. All of these I have got for 1.2lacs, in Chennai. So any price above 80k is a good deal.

Bro, the engine will be cooled in 1 or 2 hrs.. so if you leave your bike in the morning say at 9 30, you should get your bike by 3-4 Pm.. however as you know all depends on your clearance - availability of shims & CBR mechanic..

That is one of the best deals I have seen. If you can get me one as well. I live in trivandrum, I'll ride it back if I am getting such a good deal there.

There are lots of great deals in chennai. Just olx it. Even yesterday one of my friends was searching for one and we knocked up on 2011 model with Arrow full exhaust system on it for just 90k and it was further negotiable. Sadly by the time we called it was already sold.
