Hello again,
I am facing a slightly problematic issue, my bike is around 5 months old and covered around 1600 kms. the front tire seems cracking up. I am attaching the photos, the detail is not very clear, but there is a thin and distinct crack around the circumference of the tire. Now I am slightly worried that it may simply give up while I am riding fast and that would be the end of me. Does the warranty cover such?

Regards
Manan

Definitely Manan! If you think its not because of rough usage and the tire is cracking up with normal use, go to the svc and I am sure they would change it.
My friends r15's rear tyre was replaced under warranty because it developed a slight swell in its side wall. A crack should definitely be replaced, it is not at all acceptable in the first place that too with 1.6k on the clocks and only 5 months.
And this time try and ask them for the mrf's stating you have lost confidence in the contis

Hi Manan,
Glorious day here for a ride!!.
I too had/have minor hairline wear (soon after initial 500Km itself). Initially I was worried, but for me these hairline marks are not deep (check with finger nail). These cracks don't seem to stay at the same place too in my case. So, I figured these to be wearing behavior of Conti. Even if ASC replaces it with new Conti, I don't want it. I am at peace with these hairline marks now.
Now that MRF is available, if they bless with that, may be an option ( or unknown angel and known devil?). Please let us know how you tackle this.

My user manual says 249.6 cc but no bhp figures. User manual was printed in 2012 (bike is Feb 2013 - old color). May be these minor ECU mods were there in late 2012 itself. We may have to see ECU part numbers to be sure. Anyway minor issue, but wanted to share.

Haven't checked in highways but in city it is delivering 33kmpl with half sane and half insane riding.

Remember our theironhorse99 has already answered this. CBR showed considerable attitude w.r.t mileage for me. Looks like, it behaves differently in different places of our great country. In Blr, CBR likes her drinks in good swigs and in some other place she only sips.
I have got worst of 26kmpl and best of 36kmpl. On city or highway, I could get 30kmpl +-10%. Basically, CBR was all of tantrums w.r.t mileage. Bottomline - I don't mind and like this .

I generally get 34-35 by back of hand calculations.
Only twice have i actually checked by tankful to tankful method.
Worst of 30 kmpl (was ripping the bike for hours) and the best I have got is 39 kmpl on the leh manali route.

After you quoting this I have checked mine and it has the same issue but even more prominent. Called up Honda customer care and registered a complaint. Now hoping for the best.

Thanks mate, a few quality issues are there,

1) there is a aluminium foil like sheet placed behind the exhaust shield, that seems to be loose on mine already, maybe due to the heat the adhesive gave off, need to reglue it there,

2) The fuel lid seems to be making noise when ever getting into pothole roads, it's annoying, i think some kind of rubber seal is missing in this, no sound on level surface. Got into pothole roads after 40kms from the showroom, so couldn't go back to get it cleared out.
Could someone post a photo of the bottom part of the fuel lid and the mouth of the opening of the fuel tank ??

Cheers
