Re: Honda CBR 250R
Thanks for the reply
I negotiated a bit more and finalised the price of 95k...(22 month old cbr250r STD .. 10k KM)
But on the flip side:
1. The silencer cover has a lot of scratches and it needs to be replaced. How much will it cost?
2. There is no user manual(service book) with the bike
.. Will it become a problem? The2-year warranty given at the beginning will wnd in a month.. Is it possible to get the extended warranty without the user manual(service book)...
3. The visor has some scratches and i want to change it.. how much does it cost?
4. Does the radiator make some noise when the bike is started?
Thanks in advance

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I've booked my CBR, it is a black ABS model.Unfortunately, the dealer (Ananda Honda) doesn't have the ABS model in stock, so he has to order it from the factory and it may take up to 30 days for delivery.
When I asked him for discounts, he didn't refuse, but said that we can discuss at the time of final payment. What are the typical discounts that I can expect on the CBR?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Sounds great! Can you check with him how much he shelled out for the paint job and where he got the job done? Do post a pic of the bike if you got one!Originally posted by rockingrider View PostJust got mine which was ridden for 1600kms, 2013 march registration and painted to original Repsol edition using OEM paints for 1.21lac.

It costs 900 bucks to replace. Not worth the replacement. You'd do better to get it re-painted or vinyl'd up in carbon! Painting cost - Rs.400
2. There is no user manual(service book) with the bike

Yes it will! The user manual is an important piece of ownership document - insist for it.
3. The visor has some scratches and i want to change it.. how much does it cost?
Again, stickering it up is a better option!
4. Does the radiator make some noise when the bike is started?
It's not the radiator, it's the ECU doing a self-check.
Thanks in advance
Did you book the 2013 full black or the 2012 Black+Silver one?Originally posted by jaganm View PostI've booked my CBR, it is a black ABS model.Unfortunately, the dealer (Ananda Honda) doesn't have the ABS model in stock, so he has to order it from the factory and it may take up to 30 days for delivery.

Any idea when we can start getting spares for the 2013 colors? (I want to the silver bits in my red/silver combo to full red)Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Re: Honda CBR 250R
1) Painting or Vinyling the silencer cover is better option max expences 200/300 /-Originally posted by Nitin Alapati View PostThanks for the reply

2) It is not possible to get extended warranty after first 6 months of the ownership afaik ,though the owners manual is important document it is not a must, but then how you will come to know about the bike`s basic info & maintenance.
3) Changing the visor is very labour intensive ,it is not that costly around 500/-
4) Radiator do not make any noise it must be the fuel pump priming or starting in laymans language. The noise should stop after few seconds.
I think you got a very good deal, just get the owners manual xeroxed from some friend, check all the work carried out by the previous owner at the ASC,get the 24 months servicing done & you are ready for a blast.Last edited by Pruthviraj; 07-29-2013, 10:15 PM.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Last checked on 13th July, Silicon Honda, Bangalore. Dropped the idea of replacing mine and got it painted in Black.Originally posted by Nithesh View PostWait what? When did the silver heat shield become 900 bucks?
It was 4xx with taxes last time i checked a few months ago.Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!
