If you are referring to a separate service bay for CBRs, dedicated CBR technician etc, then that's the de-facto standard for all Honda ASCs who service CBRs. Accepted that many ASCs still don't follow Honda's directive, but I have seen dedicated CBR bays with both the ASCs that I have been to. (City Honda, Sapphire Honda)

Let me give you a comparison here, from what I have heard from an R15 owner the chain and sprocket set costs 3500/- and that of a Ninja costs 12000/- . So it's upto you to decide if the price is OK. But, yes this is the standard price across the country. And as someone already pointed out, do change the sprockets along with the chain.Originally posted by ankitipr View PostHello Everyone,
My chain life is nearly over and needs replacement. ASC informed me it is better to replace chain along with sprockets (Chain set). It is costing me approximately INR 2100. Is it advisable to for complete set and is the price OK?
Kindly help.

Is that a plain rim tape or something written on it. I am getting the rimtapes with monster written on it. Want it plain or CBR written. Where did you buy the tape and the valve caps? Would be great if you could share the price as well.Originally posted by theironhorse99 View PostNew addition

How are the vibes on the bike? Anything noticeable in a particular rpm range or above certain speed? aargee mentioned that he got vibes after 150kms(on odo), he said that he got rvm vibes on 123 kmph and footpeg vibes above 110 kmph.Originally posted by srini View PostYes, the std itself. It didn't make much sense for me to go for the ABS financially and though it has it's uses, I'm usually more than careful while riding, so...And yes, I'll upload on flickr soon, the RAW pic is still under process. I just randomly uploaded 3 of them from the pile here. Will PM the link2013 R15(Sold) | 2014 Duke 390 (Sold) | 2022 Adv 390 | 2022 Ninja 300

I reached 125kmph, not any higher...It was a breezy affair. Before the first service, slight vibrations were present at around 6k rpm, but not too noticeable now after the service. I wear padded boots, so I haven't really felt footpeg vibes as such, if at all such a thing is common. Around 5-6k rpm, it's butter smooth. I only thing I'm not too fond of is the windscreen ineffectiveness at higher speeds.Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostHow are the vibes on the bike? P.S: Having owned RTR 180 before this, vibes mean something entirely different to me. This seems so smooth and pale at times

Hmm, so there is windblast even with the windshield? By the way have you tried crouching? And one more thing, what kind of run in method did you follow? The manual or Motoman?Originally posted by srini View PostI reached 125kmph, not any higher...It was a breezy affair. Yes, the wind hits the chest. And I prefer comfortable touring, crouching does help but for how long do you crouch while touring?Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostHmm, so there is windblast even with the windshield? That being said, it isn't a tough thing to do around 120kmph without compromising on anything. And the bike has enough juice, so just kept the revs below 5k for the first 400kms, below 6k till first service..Nothing extra, nothing fancy
P.S: Occasional 7-8k for short bursts after it completed 500kms. And this was just a couple of timesIt all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

I have touched 138 and there was some vibration but not very bad. Vibration from mirrors & footpegs started only after 125kmph but it never felt uncomfortable - just a regular buzzing.Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostHow are the vibes on the bike? The windblast is felt on the helmet/neck directly at speeds above 110. No windblast is felt on the body/chest. A zero-g or tyga touring windscreen would eliminate that completely.Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostHmm, so there is windblast even with the windshield? By the way have you tried crouching? I followed the manual - just avoided sudden acceleration/deceleration and rode her calmly, taking care not to lug the engine. Took her to 8000 rpm on the 3rd day itself...but yes, it was a slow, relaxed climb till 8000. Till date, I mostly follow the same, as it gives be better FE. Sudden acceleration affects FE even after run-in is done.Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Guys, don't kill me for the question I am asking...I know this has been discussed to death. Just needed some quick suggestions.
I want to upgrade from stock bulbs(not HID). Options are :
1) Phillips Diamond Vision - 5000K
2) Phillips Crystal Vision - 4300K
3) Phillips Extreme Vision - ????
Which one out of these is the best? I need a whitish look of the light when looked from opposite side. Can do with yellowish throw of light. Please suggest guys. Thanks in advance.Siddhartha

Ha ha ha...Sid...I recall you had answered to my query long back saying Osram NBs were best...why do you want Philips now?Originally posted by Sid85 View PostGuys, don't kill me for the question I am asking...I know this has been discussed to death. Just needed some quick suggestions.

But yes, Xtreme vision is 3000K, so it's yellowish. If you want a whiter light, go for Diamond Vision.
In general 3000k (yellow) < 4300k (medium-white) < 5000k (whitest)Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

I've heard and seen that the philips extreme vision is good. Haven't really seen the others so can't comment on that.Originally posted by Sid85 View PostGuys, don't kill me for the question I am asking...I know this has been discussed to death. Just needed some quick suggestions.
