    • IRC is stock in South East Asian markets for the CBR250. But availability is a bit tricky.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

      • Yup 140-70 is available in delhi for 3200. 110-80 is for 3000 or 2800. U can try michelin too, dnt know if they r available in the stock size or not bt, now they are manufactured in India so the warranty issues have been rectified.

        • Ull get 130-70 for ur bike. Ull see the difference, tyre is very light nd doesnt gets heat up easily, it'll increase ur average to some extend, braking and handling will improve a lot. Change both the tyres together.

          • Lkl get it for the CBR 250 too in Indian market. Though i asked a very close friend of mine who is the distributor of IRC in vadodra, he told ne IRC is no more imported in India so because of the shortage the prices have increased.

              • Guys, anyone here used Formula 1 Caranuba liquid car wax on bikes? Is it safe to use on plastic components like fairings and panels?

And what do you use to 'shine' the matt-finish surfaces? I have noticed local bike-wash guys spray a white milky liquid on the matt-black surfaces and buff it with a soft cloth - which gives matte plastics a nice glossy sheen for 15-20 days - any ideas what that liquid might be?

Yeah, I'm using f1 for the past 1year. It's really good, the best I've used so far. But make sure you get the genuine one. Dont use it on plastic/fiber parts.

For shining plastic/fiber parts get 'dashboard polish/wax/shine' available on car accessory stores.

The CBR body is 90% plastic...except for the tank/alloys/swingarms...so you mean, i can use this wax only on the tank? What can I use for the fairings?
Will check out the dashboard polish...

                        Hi
I am using formula 1 high performance motorcycle wax - It is good for fairings, tank, any gloss finished metal part and visor. It is not good for any matte finished plastic surface.
I am also using formula 1 high performance Bike clean. Nothing impressive about it. I see that Colin does equally well for my conditions.

@kp....Colin will seem good initially, but you will realize that it's actually corrosive and will do more damage in the long run by corroding hte clearcoat. For cleaning, I usually mix one sachet of mild shampoo in a bucket of water and wash the bike, and then give it another wash with normal water. Works perfectly. For some stubborn stains, I do use Colin occasionally - but using it regularly or for cleaning the entire bike is not recommended.

For waxing, I used to take it to a local mechanic who uses Waxpol on the tank & fairings, and some mysterious white liquid to shine the matte parts (tyre hugger, rear fender, tail lamp assembly, engine undercowl, meter console etc). Now decided not to waste 100 bucks every fortnight and get the thing done myself.

Everything U mentioned about the IRC is true but size 130/70/17 is not good.Though it is OE fitment to N250 the speed & weight rating is low than 140/70/17.

Most of Formula-1 sold are fake. You can just go with Waxpol, it will do wonders and its cheap.
