On my CBR, the PSDs were very sure footed and gave much more confidence than the Conti-GoNowheres.
But, the Metzeler on the 390 is another level of grip. The same tiled office road corner can be taken at much higher speeds without thinking even once.
If you can source the metzeler, nothing like it.

I was crying a lot bcos of my Contis...but over time (7000kms now) I have gotten accustomed to its handling. Either way, I m trying to revive my search for new tyres (in Chennai)...any help would be appreciated.
You can try IRCs...or MRF REVZ(R15 V2). They are economical as well.

Does Metz comes in 110/70 and 140/70 or 130/70. If yes, whats the price for both front and rear.

        Hey folks,

My pegasus has clocked 1000kms and its time to hit the svc. Only issue till date has been my sidelock which wont lock most times. Anyway, can someone comment on the service quality at KUN Honda at Adayar,Chennai. Do they do do a decent job for a first service ? As i had planned to drop my ride at jsp, mugappair earlier but KUN Honda being on the way to office is easily accessible. So, any thoughts and suggestions will be helpful,as i need to get my steed serviced tomorrow.

        Cheers & ride safe

From few weeks I am hearing some tik tick sound from the engine. This noise usually comes when I am in 4, 5 or 6 gear and taking race from lower rpm to higher.. and mostly at the speed range between 40 to 65. Last week I went to asc for service and told about this problem then the mechanic said this is coming from the shim and he replaced all the 4 shim. I left my bike for 2 days at asc and when i took delivery and went for the ride then again I noticed they sound is still there. ... This sound is more visible whend I ride with pillon and climbing flyover and taking race.

Can you please tell me where is the problem? After service and shim replacement ride quality is improved but that sound didn't disappeared.

Please suggest. . I took my bike to ganpati Honda gurgaon.
            Thanks

              Hi Raj,

I had faced a similar issue, though not sure if yours is same as mine. Please read my post about it. I presume that you are not talking about knocking sound which is heard when you lug the engine and open up the throttle to accelerate.

DIY to get warning lights feature work...
Don't know if this would work for cbr, but in my activa I just connected my both the front indicators in series with a switch and replaced the stock flasher with entizer's. My friends told me to put any flaaher from yamaha as they have higher capacity. This works for me. Btw this is my first post on xbhp .

                        Hi,

Today morning i went to ASC and explained him the problem, he test drove it and there is some noise comes at 4000 rpm and diminishes at 4500, however he told me that everything in the engine is perfect, he told me that this is because of bad fuel and said that tank gives some foul smell and asked whether this bike has been idle for some months and his suspect was right because bike was idle for around 4-6 months and has only clocked 900 km from last one year. So he suggested me cleaning of fuel tank and then fill with fresh fuel, after doing this after running it for around 100 kms the sound will disappear.

At the end i was not much convinced but he insisted me to take this path so i agreed at the end, my worry is that yesterday was my last day of warranty.

That sound is from seconday air inlet port..
its because of a loose filter plate..

                          OR

                          Just a loose fairing part...

I dont think its fairing noise because it comes at specific rpm and speed, Where does the air inlet port located?, at evening i'll go to collect my bike then i'll ask the guy to check this too.

                            Thanks

It was discussed some time earlier in this very same thread.
I am telling you the same thing..
The secondary air is used to reduce the emissions.

In the beginning when the issue occurred (at around 6500 km on odo), I had to explain a lot about it to the service personnel. He said that this is due to vibrations of internal components and will subside when the engine is set. I didn't buy it and had to complain to the Honda head office by email about the issue. The next morning, I had a call from Honda asking me to go the service centre the same day as the service personnel has been asked to have a detailed check. 'The same service personnel agreed that it is an issue without a word from me. He had the bike for a week as the rocker arms and camshaft had to be ordered from head office.

                                Good luck mate!
