I wonder why sales/showroom guys threaten gullible customers by saying that anything they try to change on their bikes will void their "warranty" - It's time salesmen/showrooms should be transparent about warranties and related terms.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

I changed my rear contis to Dunlop, cost was Rs.3100
front contis to MRF, cost was Rs.2100

They threaten because of their limited knowledge. It's just like saying,

      Partial knowledge is dangerous

Its always better when you are aware of some problem in your bike, try to find the cause on your own. If you can't identify then check online in this thread or just google search.

        Folks,

Did a short trip this weekend - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/2...ran-rider.html

Am planning to take my bike to the service centre tomorrow for its first service. Any special instructions to follow?

I'm planning to install white coloured rear cowls (from the 2012 Pearl Heron Blue color scheme).. any chance someone wants to swap theirs for the 2013 Red coloured ones?

Yes me! But gimme all the other white coloured parts of yours

First make sure the "wash boys" dont scratch the bike! Apart from that, make sure they tighten all the bolts. If you havent yet noticed any issue your bike, an oil change is all that will be needed

If you're planning to visit Sapphire Honda for service, we might just bump into each other tomorrow

Btw, brilliant snaps in your log

I got the MRF Revz FC 110/70 R17 as replacement for my front continentals.

I noticed that the compound is softer than Dunlop tuffgrip rear tyres.
The profile is more rounder than Continentals and it turns with less effort.

                  Hello CBR owners,

Is it correct that the earlier CBRs' were 25 bhp and the new ones with the new paint scheme are 26 bhp? The Honda India website says 26 bhp now, so there may be a possibility of some returning by the Honda engineers on the newer CBRs. Can some CBR owners confirm if there's any difference felt on the newer lot with respect to power?

                  Thanks

I have been facing a strange issue with my CBR . After i turn on the engine kill switch i hear the fuel pump sound, but still the bike wont start and i again have to turn the switch off and on again or sometimes just have to press it harder. Also the console blue light flickers when the parking lights are on . Both these things happend randomly.
Also my right tail indicator is not wrking and the flickering frequency for right side indicator is higher.

Could it be an idication that the electricals might go kaput later on or just that the switch and console lights are independently malfunctioning.

I might go on a trip of around 3k kms in about a month . Dont want the bike coming up with severe issues then like the ingnition not working.

About the turn indicators I can be of some help. Its frequency in blinking is higher because of the faulty rear indicator. Replace it and your turn indicators problem should be solved.

Hope you are able to sort the remainder problems soon

probably loose wiring and dust/moisture inside the starter switch... had similar issue.. started had to be pressed hard.. park it in sun for some time else spray some wd-40.

regarding indicator.. it is very normal behaviour in case one indicator goes bad.. to show that one is non functional...

NOTE : PLEASE DO NOT BUY CBR 250 INDICATOR.. IT WILL BE 200 INR+ ASK THE SVC TO GET A HONDA STUNNER INDICATOR . BOTH ARE SAME JUST FOR CBR PART NAME
                        PRICE IS DOUBLE.......

But but, would the asc complain? I mean is it possible to buy the part separately and give it to the mechanic?

                          regards.

just go to the part counter and ask for stunner indicator which ever you want...ask him to bill it.. and then go the mechanic with the part.. he will probably fix it for free.. just a 5 min job.. one nut to be removed.. one wiring connected to be plugged to new one and then reverse order..

many a times disk pads when not available .. i bought them from a diffrent svc and still go them fixed at my regular svc...
                            they do it...

apni awaaz me thoda wajan daalo.. sab sunte hain....
                            yeh hai India meri jaan...

                              Hi,
I have recently got the new CBR and found the bike to be slightly smoother and when comes to power, 1 HP is very less to differentiate. Even in the Docs i find the power delivered to be 26BHP. So may be Honda has done some change on the bike performance.

If some one could help me out with this -

I got my CBR250R last July (2013 version) and have been observing a crackling sound from the radiator (not sure, some where around the radiator). When showed it to the ASC, they responded saying this is "Normal". The sound doesn't come always but at times. Please let me know if someone has faced this and also if this is normal.

                              Thanks in Advance!!!

About the sound... first check your front number plate, many times it gets loose and the vibration sounds like its coming off the radiator. About little sounds there have been plenty plenty posts even in this thread... just use the 'search thread' option and give it keywords.
