Re: Honda CBR 250R
Guys, I spoke to my SA about my Ceeber. He says its not possible at all to get a new bike with MRFs on them. Anyone from Bangalore with a CBR running MRFs? I have booked in Haiku Honda Domlur. If someone can confirm, I will decide if to look at other options or to go with Contis and change them to MRFs from outside.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hi guys,
After much thought and research, I bought my ceeber on Sunday, Sep 8. I've bought the tri-colour scheme. Have driven only around 30 kms as I was busy during the week but will be going to Buddh International Circuit tomorrow (Sep 15) to see the racing event and will get a chance to break-in the engine for a good 150 km. Posting few pics of the bike.
I was so excited to see the zero km odometer reading when I purchased the bike (sorry for the blurred pic for the odo). I opted for the zero dep insurance and the extended warranty plan as they seemed of value to me at such nominal price (1000/- and 1200/- resp.).
Also bought an LS2 351 Action helmet (red and white) from Karol Bagh, New Delhi.
Thanks to all of you who helped me through the decision!

But in my case it wasn't a defect, but a mere loose connection.
The possible reasons could be
1) Fan not working
2) Issue with temp sensor
3) Loose connection of the socket than powers the fan(which happened in my case)
So make sure they check properly and troubleshoot the problem in all possbile ways, it might take a full day as it involves removing the body panels and tank if it is the 3rd case, like the one that happened with mine.
Do keep us posted about the find.

Hi buddy,
The fan issue which i had earlier mentioned here was a simple issue. The fan control relay connection lies underneath the rider's seat and this particular relay was unplugged. When i took 'Pegasus' to the svc for this issue, The mechanic removed the left fairing and checked all the relays for any blown fuses and it was all intact and he was perplexed left without to do but remove the tank and check for wiring issues. Just when he sid that it was days' work, he spotted the fan control relay kept unplugged and it was phewwwww moment for me.. And so, plugged it back in position and saw the fan run like a beauty.
Ecstatic feeling !!
Pegasus- First 300kms review:
a) The ride feels solidly planted whenever on the move and city driving is a bit of an effort. But if you can use the gears appropriately, he sneaks past gaps and corners confidently without any hiccups.
b) As the first few hundred kilometers are crucial, kept the engine well below 4k rpm throughout the first 100kms. Did a few short bursts upto 75kmph (5.5-6k rpm) until the first 200kms. The lower gears provide sufficient torque to keep you going with lesser gear shifts in city traffic.
c) Pegasus was taken to the highway today morning to expose the engine to some higher rpm (at short bouts). Its an amazing feeling once past 6k rpm as you can feel the engine doing a 'knife through butter' thing. He was pushed until 110 at 7k rpm for a very brief time and dropped back to under 5k rpm rest of the ride. He was completely stable at those triple digit speeds and was totally undisturbed by any of those broken patches on the highway roads. Waiting to complete the remaining 700kms in less than 3 weeks, so i can see him on song on the highways.
Concerns:
a) As it has been raining of late here in Chennai, the radiator gets hit with a lot wet mud/muck and the muck dries up and gets impinged between the radiator fins.
Its quite a dirty sight and i am planning to do something about it soon. Suggestions are welcome, please.
b) Being white in color, he attracts lots of smudges and marks on the tank. Inspite of the Keiti tank pad that i have stuck on, the tank gets dirty at lots of areas especially around the tank filler cap. I have checked at few 3m and vkool outlets to get the tank wrapped but it seems its not a feasible solution owing to technical difficulties. So, thinking of a way to get solve this sometime soon !
In conclusion, i will say he is doing perfectly g8t performing well in every department. Tyres too, i am satisfied with grip now but i need to do more wet riding to confirm on the same.
Cheers & Ride Safe,
Raj Mano

Re: Honda CBR 250R
GUYS.... urgently need a front tyre..
Is there any other company than Continental that produces 110/ 70 R17 tyres?
I was presented with the options: Pireli - 110/80 R17 for Rs.3200
Michellin- 100/80 R17 for Rs.1760
Is it okay to put Duke's front tyres from MRF . Its also 110/70Last edited by Avenger88; 09-17-2013, 02:31 PM.sigpic
