  • @ Aargee: bro, if you dont mind, can you share with us the cost of your CBR's third service? (a pm will do if you mind) Everything like the sprocket and all. I am wondering how many parts would i need to change until the third service. Just an estimate.
Also, should a sprocket need a replacement in around 12k kms?? Any noticeable difference in smoothness after honda's 10w30 FS?
My bike is making a hiss sound after the service. The sound is even there if the ignition is off and the bike is in motion. IMO, it may be from the front discpads, but cant exactly figure it out. It is from the front side and can even be heard till speed of 60-70kmph.
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

Quite a few members have installed them, am not sure if u get them in india, but u can ask the members who have got them.
This wont void warranty, but confirm with your service center before buying.

Xena XX6 is the right one, costs US$70 on amazon. Go through the users manual link below you will get a fairly good idea of the product. It is expensive but robust. It is however a pain to carry around if you use the bike as a commuter, or would take a little getting used to diggiging it out from your backpack or putting it under the seat.

I'm not the mod here!!! Despite that I've taken the initiative for which I've been called names!!! Why would I want to fall into ppl's mouth unnecessarily when they want to talk nothing other than top speed & cost of servicing?

The mods do not want to clean up the mess that's going on in this thread despite I've reported many times & it has been a while since xPolice has visited this thread. I've done more than what I can do & still if they're not interested cleaning up, what do you want me to take an initiative? Keep barking? No I can't!!!

What do you suggest? You tell me, let me see if things work your way.

I have XX6 for my ninja and been using it for 1.6years and the battery used in it is CR2 , which is available in mall or other electronic stores. once you buy the xena.. it come with the battery as a part of the standard equipment.. not down the rating of the battery..

1 battery lasts for an year or more after that a new battery will cost you 100 bucks..

                          • Tyre Replaced!!

Just got my bike from SVC after 3 days, replacing the rear Tyre.. found few burst like cracks in rear tyre at 2-3 places and reported the same to the SVC a month back... they clicked few pics of the damage and said they will complain it to the respective dealer as tyre and battery warranty doesn't come under bike's warranty. After that no response from them for 3 weeks and in between this i was out of station for 10 days. They called me on last Friday and asked me to bring the bike as they have to show the tyre to Continental dealer.. Left the bike at SVC on Monday and got it back today..

Had no hope that i will get my bike by this week.. Happy with the way this issue was handled by the dealer..

P.S. By the looks, the new tyre seems better than the stock one.. will give a report on the grip and other things after clocking few kms..

                            Ride safe,
Everybody dies.. But, not everybody really live!!
