Whatever you do, never LUG the engine; keeping the rev etc under so & so RPM's are cock & bull stories; just DON'T adhere to it; Don't lug your engine, that's most important; its OK, even if you REV upto 7K RPM, NEVER redline atleast for next 500 Kms, if possible never redline until 1000 Kms.

Just keep riding normally & when you feel the engine is rough, change the engine oil + engine oil filter no matter what read on ODO. Ideally you MIGHT have to change one between 400-500 & next during 800-950 (or 1000).

        Enjoy your ride

Just came back from my First tour on my CBR.

Delhi - Swarghat & bilashpur - Delhi (~800kms only, not much, but to much for a virgin tourer, ) though my cbr had an accident and have a crack on fairing
Hey there, glad to know the bike handled well during the tour. Hope the accident was not a major one.

Planning to go for 800Kms(Appx) tour very soon if all things fall in place. Will be very helpful if you update what prep you did. Any suggestion is welcome

            • Back from a Mumbai - Mount Abu - Udaipur - Mumbai trip covering 1684.1 kms . The bike served its master well. No problems. Also got the bike checked up, cleaned, and some work here and there at Udaipur (Lakecity Honda)...fantastic service I must say!

The position wasn't a problem, in fact never has been since the start. Hands are hurting a bit but that is ok. Other than that, I am completely relaxed even after riding 700 kms today! Loved the power on the highway, handling and thankfully a good mileage, consistently of around 30 (while coming back I got around 33-34).

Nice pic my friend. The LS2 Dragon looks awesome!
What beats me though is how does ABS interfere with a wheelie?!!

I think he meant Stoppie. We can actually pop a stoppie if you take out the ABS fuse.

Fantastic??? They tried giving me a hard time, but eventually, when I put it back, they pampered me with royal treatment
BTW, did you ask them about a TN registered C250R? I hope they'll never forget me for life

What prep? Just saddle up & ride, the bike is bullet proof
Carry chain lube; don't forget to tighten chain every 1.5K-2K Kms; carry puncture kit, only if you carry foot pump & know how to fix punctures ; carry a spare bulb if it gives you confidence.

Apologies... I meant stoppie... Even a wheelie was out of reckoning as the front end was too heavy

                        U in for some?

And if you guys really want to try a stoppie, get the front number plate out of the way... It hits the front fender hard during the dive on braking

                        • Vibrations galore after 7k rpm. From the left side fairing and from the console. Thankfully the engine is silent.

Any suggestions on how to reduce them?

I've been told initially that there're rubber bushes, but, y'day they said there's nothing of that sort because there're only allen bolts connecting the fairings. One possibility is to tighten them, as I believe there're no torque levels to be maintained on them. Next is to tighten with engine bed bolt, which I got done in the past & it helped to reduce the vibes.

Give me few more days as I'm sailing in the same boat as yours. Will share what I undergo.

I guess I was lucky then. They fixed a few issues without me telling them including the horn decibel level and also tightened the chain and greased it as well. I had only gone there for my handle bar, bar end which seemed loose to me and wanted to get it fixed and offcourse get my bike cleaned

And no wasn't in my mind that you had come here too! I guess they learnt from their mistake or rather their arrogance
