Yes, mine is very much the same.

This is easy man, its just an act of designing the stickers. The person did it all by hand.

Between, here is a video of CBR without the silencer. It has a crazy load roar!
Had removed the silencer while changing the disk pads.

Edit - Just noticed the website, it looks like the unit has to be installed on the bike & I guess there's some amount of rewiring etc to be done.

Anyday, I'd prefer - XENA Motorcycle Security: disc-lock alarms for motorcycles, scooters and ATVS which doesn't voids warranty, no install required & simply easy to use on any motorcycle.

Warranty will only void if we cut any wire.
Get it installed from an experienced mechanic who deals in it. I get it done one of them, took 200 buks only for installing. Just don't let cut any wire, and btw Honda it self has mentioned in the Owners Manual for security alarm.

This will make a little load on the battery off course, but it's better than disc alarm lock, you can switch off from remote (if disc alarm lock have remote, then will be much more better)

Why anyone need remote function (if he wishing to switch off) in the disc alarm lock when it serving the security?

The above mention XENA disc alarm battery last almost 8 months with constant triggering.....

And if it deplete completely, another battery cost 100-150/- locally (Sanyo CR2 3volt).

And guess what no fear to bike's battery drained in the middle of journey/tour/nowhere.

As for the remote function, Live in a gali, where there is bunch of kids/admirer/bikers who like to feel your bike , who will make your bike's alarm cry, atleast to stop the cry you don't have to go down from top floors!!

This bold part making me LOL, even though i am new biker, but it's obvious that Battery don't get drained in running engine, yes battery's life will get shorter due to extra load (Please forgive if I am wrong).

Note: I am not saying to use this or that, it's your personal choice, when this thread started and we just bought our bikes, this concern was raised that time also, I'll say only one thing: Go with your preferences.

The disc alarm switches off automatically after 15 secs, no need to intervene in first place; anyway, to each his own, I believe in Xena while you believe in Xenos; as long as we BELIEVE our products protect the bike & the purpose served, why debate over superiority?

                  • Just Back from the event guys ...

Here it goes what happened exactly

--- Most of the owners were asked to come at Surya Honda so that all of us could head to Sri Perumbudur Race Track like a rally ( Snacks and soft Drinks were served at the showroom itself)

--- Rally was flagged of by Mr Ganeshan ( KUN HONDA ) at 9 45 am
--- Reached Race Track at 10 15 am
--- Was Welcomed by Honda Officials and they had list for basic check up like oil top up , coolant top up , brake oil , chain lubing etc for free for all the owners who were there
--- In the mean time they asked us to sit in the cabin which was provided to see the race happening in the track
--- Later interactions with Vice president Mr Rattan
                    --- Lunch
--- Race organised amongst the owners in cb twister

and that was all for the day !

First of all IMO I think its a very good initiative after all hearing about HONDA in bad impression in the recent times

Now Here is the major part When Mr Rattan had interactions with the owners .... One of our Ex Bhpians ... gave his peace of mind regarding the product and which made Mr Rattan sweat ! I spoke about the quality issues like rusting and paint peeling and also one of the owner asked about the spare parts issue ...

During the entire interactions .. I am pretty sure with their body language .. that they are well aware about all this problems but they hesitate to admit ... nor they have any solutions ... They just took everything in a piece of paper ... I am sure it landed in the bin !

                    Moral of the story ....

Had lunch in the garage ( Different experience ... Liked the concept ) and enjoyed watching the race with the other owners

                    Photos to be uploaded soon

So as I said earlier, it looks like more of dealer initiative than HMSI isn't it? Probably Surya + Kun Honda's initiative

How about JSP & Didar folks? Anyone witnessed them?

Did anyone bring out the topic of my blown engine

                          • Chennai event update

Srivastav had already left when this happened, so he wouldn't be aware of it. So just covering those points he would have missed.

There was a small photoshoot in the garage for the cbr owners from kancheepuram, vellore and other places. Post which there was a track awareness session where one official was explaining the procedure to apply for a track license and how to be a part of the Honda one make race for which the bikes will be supplied by Honda itself. So, while this was happening, the vellore M.D of the showroom was having a chat with one of the top officials who was in a meeting with all the dealers earlier.(thousand apologies for not remembering his post or name, but he was pretty high in the food chain.)

So i intervened(politely ofcourse ) and had a good 20 min chat with him. During this these are the things that are confirmed,
1.They are launching the CBR150R very very soon.
                            2. They are taking CBR250R very seriously. He was instructing them to launch a similar CBR club card like they did in Bangalore. They were also planning to organize a trip to yelagiri hills next weekend. I asked him if the same benefits would be provided and he said ofcourse.
3.A fourth manufacturing plant will be setup in south very soon in addition to the recently opened one in Narsapur.(it most probably is in Tamilnadu)
4.I brought up the spares issue with him and he said, "first let me apologize for that sir". Now thats something coming from a man of his stature. Anyway, he said they are very much aware of the spares issues, and re-assured that it has already been addressed in most places and this those that it isn't already. It will be ironed out very very soon.

From my conversation, I learnt that most of the time, neither Honda nor the dealer is the culprit, but the third party vendor they lease the transport of the vehicles to. I asked him what they have in plan for the near future, you know in the middleweight with all the 650's coming in. He said, we sure can launch all our international models here, but the market has to be mature enough to embrace and encourage our products. CBR250R marks the beginning of fun biking in India for Honda, as it happens to be their first bike that is not an all out commuter. He said they constantly guage the market, get the customer responses and feedback and in time everything will come . There are many other things we talked about, so if anyone has any specific question, please post and I will try to remember if we discussed it

Edit:- @srivastav, It was nice meeting you man, but I hope it would have been longer. Lets catch up at the next g2g. Apologies again for not being able to have a proper chat with you.

Interesting! It would be a sweet surprise if its released/launched soon in India. I wonder what the specification would be?( Note: Am in no way starting a speculation thread here, only wondering what the specification would be )

So the culprit is dealer I guess ; anyway, even if the dealer had called, I couldn't have made today due to work. So its good in a way
Called of the event??? ROFL ; they would be more than prepared for more than such wars

Yeah? Did you ask him, then, why they're in a hurry to launch rather than setting up ASC's in first place? Why the consumables aren't ready before the launch?

Lol Sai!!! I could've roasted them in few seconds!!! Did you ask them why spares aren't ironed out for 10 year old model such as Activa? I've been asked to wait for an exhaust for over 4-5 days & unable to obtain a floor mat till date (over 1+ month)

Lol!!! Then how come BAL, HH, TVS, Yamaha are able to supply things on time? The strategy is simple; HMSI & dealers are present there, the only people who aren't there are third party & the blame is passed on them

How many owner's were present for the event?
Did you ask them why the cards were not presented today & scheduled for another day while the same has been presented in BLR much earlier? Are they planning to provide the club card selectively or to every owner of C250R? And what's their intention to provide the card? (doesn't it sound ridiculous to provide 5% discount on parts when the parts aren't even available? Ideally they should give 10% discount for all these inconvenience)

Sai or Srivaatsav - Did any of you ask on what basis the dealers called up the owners? While some of them have been left out? (Anyway they'd have a std answer - cycles )

Damn it!!! Never knew SKD would've been there!!! I'll call him right away.
