I brought up this issue with him, I told him that I am more than satisfied with the service at Didar T.Nagar, and that I hope every other ASC would become the same some day. He politely said, Sir we like all our apples to be fresh, we donot want any rotten ones as well. I guess it is hard to keep a check on each and every mechanic of each and every ASC, unless someones makes a big fuss about a specific issue they have

You are right Narsapur is indeed in KA. But i was talking about the prospective place for the fourth factory when i was referring to TN.

No comments! Fortunately, I havent faced any issues with spares for my cbr until now. So i couldn't really argue or contribute on this topic.

Might very well be true. But what can we do?

Did you ask them why the cards were not presented today & scheduled for another day while the same has been presented in BLR much earlier? Are they planning to provide the club card selectively or to every owner of C250R? And what's their intention to provide the card? (doesn't it sound ridiculous to provide 5% discount on parts when the parts aren't even available? Ideally they should give 10% discount for all these inconvenience)
Close to 20 maybe? They have launched the Cult Biking Riders group in Bangalore as an experiment, Depending on the response, they are planning to conduct similar and larger events in the future in other places as well.

Ideally this camp should have been conducted somewhere else, IMHO. The only reason they couldn't invite everyone was because of the race passes one needs to enter the track. They had other restrictions coming out of this, like accommodating all these invited people in the race towers, which believe me are very small. But, the selection was very random, they had invited people who had little or no interest in the event,(with exceptions ofcourse). The person who organized this event was telling me that he personally called up 70 people, and not even 15 of them turned up.

    • Got my engine oil and filter changed at 3100 kms. Got chain lubed, bottom fairing corrected (Was lose a bit) and got my left side bar ends tightened. Only paid for engine oil and filter!
Seemed like my oil filter had more metal threads than in the first service!Anyways, the replacement did the trick with the engine becoming so much smoother now.

Anyways, the bike is so much smoother now. Went for a 500 kms ride.

It is rev happy and FINALLY it actually cruises wonderfully. Was cruising at 100 on NH4 without any vibrations and the engine was butter smooth! Loved it. All this on mineral oil and I only wonder how the bike will be full synthetic!

Tks a lot & appreciate it But looking at the present situation, I highly doubt if I could join the trip on 20-23 this month, next week for Yelagiri is close to impossible unless some miracle happens; I've been waiting for sprock set for over 3 weeks now; with growing frustration, I might buy a P220 chain for the trip!!!

Check out other threads in the forum on HMSI, most of them crib on spares. HMSI has even stopped counter sales for their spares.

You should've told them immediately that they don't know who their customers are really; getting to know customers is more than important for any business

Needless to tell you, the bike can keep cruising between 125-130 all through the day. The only limitations are the rider & the traffic

BTW, did you notice the color of the oil?

        • For future Bangalore CBR 250 Owners

          Hi All,

I have a set of number plates with me that i dont think i will require in near future. So if any new CBR owner is opting for special number he can borrow the number plates(for their temporary number) from me till they get there desired numbers. I got the IND plates so do not need these plates anymore. I had to get these plates for my temporary registration.
If anyone see themselves in same boat can PM me and take the plates without any charge .

          Regards
          Piyush

Bangalore guys who attended the event, correct me if I'm wrong - They said they would send the membership cards through post. The cards they gave us during the photo shoot was just a normal card, to be used like a key chain or something.

Now here's the glitch!!! If they're offering membership to all C250R owners, then why not issue the card at point of sale (dealership). Why only at such camps? Let's for a moment that they want to give to existing owners, then...

Post which there was a track awareness session where one official was explaining the procedure to apply for a track license and how to be a part of the Honda one make race for which the bikes will be supplied by Honda itself. So, while this was happening, the vellore M.D of the showroom was having a chat with one of the top officials who was in a meeting with all the dealers earlier.(thousand apologies for not remembering his post or name, but he was pretty high in the food chain.)

Food Chain ... I saw Mr Rattan had a discussion with all the dealers ! He is the VP for HMSI

So i intervened(politely ofcourse ) and had a good 20 min chat with him. During this these are the things that are confirmed,
1.They are launching the CBR150R very very soon.
                  2. They are taking CBR250R very seriously. He was instructing them to launch a similar CBR club card like they did in Bangalore. They were also planning to organize a trip to yelagiri hills next weekend. I asked him if the same benefits would be provided and he said ofcourse.
3.A fourth manufacturing plant will be setup in south very soon in addition to the recently opened one in Narsapur.(it most probably is in Tamilnadu)
4.I brought up the spares issue with him and he said, "first let me apologize for that sir". Now thats something coming from a man of his stature. Anyway, he said they are very much aware of the spares issues, and re-assured that it has already been addressed in most places and this those that it isn't already. It will be ironed out very very soon.

Sai you missed all the fun earlier including the discussion of quality , spares ... Well let me tell you something if you missed earlier posts of mine .. There was intense arguments between VP and few owners and VP had told other officials to have a look at my bike and also other owners ... GUESS WHAT .... after the conversation no one was bothered to turn up

And what about the club card ? Any Idea bro ?
From my conversation, I learnt that most of the time, neither Honda nor the dealer is the culprit, but the third party vendor they lease the transport of the vehicles

                  Ridiculous claim !

Edit:- @srivastav, It was nice meeting you man, but I hope it would have been longer. Lets catch up at the next g2g. Apologies again for not being able to have a proper chat with you.

Same here bro .. couldnt take so much of heat so thats why I had to return early ! No apologies please ! .. we always have time to catch up

I think its on random basis aargee anybody could have been part of it and also I happen to learn that there would be another camp in 3-4 weeks time and also spoke to didar about you and they have asked me for your number so that they would invite you next time !

Yes, right now what they had given is just temporary card. They would be sending the card (printed with owners name) by post.

I guess, the idea of "Club" was not there in the beginning. There was no such news when the bike was launched. Hence these were not issued at the time of sale of the bike.
I don't think they're calling just selected customers, well, atleast in Bangalore. Because my dealer when called me to inform, asked me to inform about it to all my 'CBR friends'. And this definitely is not an initiative by the dealers, it's by HMSI.

Araey Sudeep, I'm aware of that; if this is a new idea, why not start with every new sale? No one seem to have reported about this when they've bought a new C250R in the recent times isn't it?

I had cruised at 120 earlier as well. Its just the way it sounded. Relaxed

Yes. Engine oil was black with a red tinge. Glad I changed it. The engine saw a lot of bumper to bumper traffic during 1500-3000 kms and not much crusing or even travelling over 60 kmph so I guess, that is why the engine oil colour was black and not the usual 'still red' as many others, including you, have posted.

Yesterday when riding the engine was very relaxed at any speeds. And yesterday my bike delivered the best mileage possible yet. 31kmpl. All this when riding on roads which did not exist, riding on a river bed (or atleast it looked like one!), riding on the worst roads possible and then a bit of cruising on NH4.
