Did you use old Unicorn(not Dazzler's) clutch lever? I have been using the uni's lever for months. its exactly the same one of CBR's and a perfect fix except the colour.

          • Second service @ vihaan

Had given my bike @ vihaan honda, thane for the second service. I had bought the bike from sai point honda and which was almost useless to solve the problems in my bike and so i had requested the regional manager to schedule my servicing at vihaan. The bike had done just 4.5k kms in six months of which 4.2k kms were clocked in the first three months itself. The bike was so much un-ride-able off lately. Main issues were 1. A very very stiff cone set. 2. Very disturbing tappet noise 3. Felt engine heated more than previous even in short runs 4. Fairings were loose 5. Mirrors that were very stiff to adjust and vibrated a lot. And much here and there..
Most of the issues were taken care of very well expect, the mirrors tough are free to adjust shake a lot and the engine feels too rough. Feels like there is some friction in there. Had to come to nashik and so couldn't take it back to vihaan to get it sorted. Now, what annoyed me was that my rear brakepads were replaced and i was charged around Rs.700 for it. I just cant imagine, with 90% of highway riding in a just 4.5k kms, how could the brakepads wear out. I use the rear brake in a less proportion than the front and also keep my foot away from the pedal when not needed. And so never expected it. Plus, its priced about more than thrice the p220 rear brake pads which are of the same make and size.

The total cost of servicing was around Rs.3400 at first. But then the cost of cone set was reduced after a discussion and i had to pay Rs.2470 which include oil(10w30 FS) and oil filter change, rear disc pads, shims, chain cleaning, break oil top-up,and a labour charge of Rs.200.
I highly recommend vihaan honda for its service though the time taken to deliver was much more then promised. Just if something could be done to reduce the price of spares or atleast get the quality of spares checked could had been better by Honda. I do not want to spend on replacing a Rs.700 brakepad every six months and 5k kms.

I am facing a huge problem with my CBR
A few days ago the electricals of my bike simply wont work
No Lights (Only Pilot Lights are working), No Horn, No Speedometer functioning, No Odo & trip meter working, No indicators

I mean nothing except the Petrol Gauge, Rear Brake Lights, Neutral Light and the Self Start Switch are working. I got my free service in August end and as per schedule I should do a service around Dec 30th.

Guys tell me what to do?
I am really pissed off. Can the rats be the culprits? I mean they already cut the wires of my Hunk and its not running but I couldnt see any wires cut in the CBR although I didnt open the bike but we can clearly peep inside and look here and there.
I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

              My Stable:
2009 & Present: HH Hunk Limited Edition [Red Striker]
2011 & Present: Honda CBR 250R [Black Blade]

                • After 3 weeks...whew!!! get hold of my C250R; what a relief!!! As usual, nothing great to mention, just that the ride is smooth; switched to 10W-30 HMSI FS oil & certainly there's a minor noticeable change in the engine. JSP did a good job & I'd recommend this place for a good service. Also got additional 1/2 liter engine oil for topping up purpose.

PS - Don't ask me the bill amount though

Its just a fuse situated on left side of the bike near rear tyres.. go for a check at ur nearest svc.

                          • ^^ I had sent an email regarding my bent rim and me awaiting replacement. The wheel arrived a week after I sent the email though I never got any response from the email ID though so i guess it was pure coincidence that my wheel arrived AFTER i mailed!

Err...except for a few good friends, the way things are going here on this thread, I don't feel like updating anymore here.

Anyway, let me see how things go; right now I'm putting crazy hours on work that I'm trying to save the travel time to office by WFH. So, let me get out of this phase & then check other things.
