Tomorrow marks the one month/1000kms first service day for me and i have completed about 970odd kms so far
Recently in the last 3-4 days i noticed that my bike's transmission is acting weird.
I am in one of the higher gears nowhere close to the neutral i,e 4th or 5th and i dont touch my clutch lever cos i am not shifting at all and suddenly the bike acts like it fell into neutral and the rpm goes all the way to 9-10k rpm. Its like the bike shifted itself into neutral even though its not technically possible.
Anybody has any idea whats causing this? Havent faced it today though. Should i inform the ASC while i give it for servicing? And no oil filters available as of now. Can i delay my first service to whenever they get their stock filters?Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

my black CBR is suffering from the following problems after its first service:
1. Bike shutdown by itself on 70+ speed
2. Not starting in any gear except neutral
3. The bike is not same anymore...somehow i feel the smoothness is gone
4. Few fins are bent
totally disappointed by Haiku Honda...i dont know but i have a strange feeling that they somehow changed some parts without my knowledge

hi buddy enjoyed it well keep the id safe and soundOriginally posted by thefastestindian View PostLooks like I'm the only one who read your post with the email id of some HMSI guy. Dude it works man. I sent an email to him and he forwards it to 3 more people and one of the guy calls me thrice to check what my prob was. By the way he was talking, I felt like he's making a note of all my problems. Then when I asked him about spares, he said they'll be available by the end of november or early december. So people, ease out a bit and wait till the end of this month. If nothing happens, Then lets start flooding their inboxes with " professional " emails stating what probs we are facing right now.
Peace!
it is the email of indian president of hmsi
i also have the personal email address of thiland or japan god knows of the main head aka sabka baap ka email of head of the company which is being run by them here in indiaclick me

That's sad to hear! I had the bike not starting in any other gear than neutral when my bike was a month old or so... then it went away itself within a few days.

Bad experience with Continental-Contigo
Thought it was coz of punture, but knew it was the probs of tyre itself. the tyre getting bulged from the inside when heated up. Air leaks throught inside pores...

Sent a complaint to honda customer care. Really getting mad what to do, tyre mileage is only 6900kms... what to do guys?

I am unable to clearly see the bulge in your photograph. If tyre is bulging, it is clearly a manufacturing defect. Check out continental website, find their local office, call them up and ask for replacement.Originally posted by Binoy View PostBad experience with Continental-Contigo

Tyre companies offer such replacement immediately if they find clear manufacturing defect like tyre bulging / sidewall cut etc. No big procedure. Just need to show it to concerned officer and you will get replacement in couple of days.
Trying to get replacement from Honda will -
1. Take a lot of time
2. Honda will refuse to replace it because it is clearly mentioned on warranty certificate that all bought out items carry their own manufacturers' warranty.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

(very thin layer). The inner portion of it has the pores through which the air leaks. Sorry don't know how to explain the problem
. When i went to a puncture shop they told its not a puncture and can't be solved. Its definitely the probs of the tyre.
Is this the address.Last edited by Binoy; 11-07-2011, 12:54 PM.sigpic...Ride Long...Ride Safe...
