    Arjun,

Are both levers a perfect fit? The brake levers, I heard are difficult to find a match for CBR? If its a match, I am changing the levers today.

    Thanks

You said right aargee no one will complain till everything is nice because no one want to go to service station without a reason. well but when problem come then only they come to know and feel the importance of complaining...

its very bad that people from different region are having problems and suffering just because of lack of spare parts but yes i am a happy customer of honda
Ya bro even my blade is just 3 months old and i done 8.5 k kms and previously when got my clutch lever bent and left faring scratched it was short out in 5 days and i was a happy man ... but from last 5 days seeing my baby standing untouched with cold engine just due to a lever not a big problem it's hurts... and these service center peoples take it like nothing happens...

        • I got loads of scratches on my tank. Anyone got any solution for the same? Can i get it repainted, if so how and from where? Can I claim warranty?? :S The scratches though were due to my tank bag

Also, thinking, if I do get it repainted, will get the bike lacquered to keep the paint quality top notch. Any idea from where I can get it lacquered in Mumbai?

Spares are flowing in, i find it stupid for people whining about spares. C'mon Honda is trying to deliver the rest of the bikes and its too early to expect spares in the market (leaving aside the oil filters) and about the brake pads, for people having completed say around 4k-5k on the odo, heard anything called gear breaking?? I used an Fz16 for 47k kms on the Odo before i sold her off for the CBR and i changed the disk pads twice and the rear break shoe just 1st

I would say you can definitely close your eyes and go for it You will not be disappointed and get the C-ABS one, would definitely help.

Now, these are strictly MY view and observation
I have been waiting for the left fairing and the radiator for 63 days now. How did the accident happen, you ask? An Indica lost control and rammed onto my parked bike. I still haven't lost my cool, and the only thing I'm requesting Honda is to give me a concrete date of delivery of the aforementioned spares. Forget date, I'd be happy if they just tell me the year.

You think I'm wrong somewhere and being stupid?

P.S. I still think the CBR 250R is the best city bike you can lay your hands on in the country today.

              • Once again she's back in service center.
Well today when i went to service center for clutch cable settings and chain cleaning the mechanic discovered new issue in my bike while he took test ride after setting clutch cable play . He said that he suspects that there is some issue with the Front Master cylinder i wasnt expecting that . He also said that there is some rubber bush which has gone kaput and needs to be replace but it isnt under warranty . it is ok with me but my point is that What if my front brake fails in some panic situation or what if it locks my front wheel as soon as i grab front leaver....."No chance" .... any ways i think i was lucky that Vihaan honda managed to locate the issue befor any thing could go wrong . And i think its time to give some reality check to Honda people they just cannot play with someonc's life ...and say that their product has the top notch quality .
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

Honda is recommending 10w30 FS Oil which is from Honda itself. And your service center & mechanic there would know it very well. Why worry so much and type it in Red for that?

This was the case in sept/oct in bangalore. I hear things are much better now.

Honestly, using gear braking in all the situations is dangerous, counterproductive and not practical.

P.s : i love the CBR. Absolute fun bike!
It was the same with almost every other bike that was launched in India Wait period for anything in India is unavoidable and i think i would let this one slip by

And about gear breaking, well, its a personal choice and it DOES work for me, been working that way for over 3+ years now... And im not here to support Honda for s*** :P Im just speaking my mind out like i mentioned im my post. Damn... people were right about this thread

Well, well... Never did i said some one is being stupid or wrong here!! I did mention it was MY views didn't i?? And about your ride, sorry to hear that happen mate.. There is nothing much that can be done about it unless you want to fly in some parts (which me and a friend did) and found it reasonable... Not advising anyone here to go my way again ...

                        • I got my front wheel replaced recently and for some reason I feel that handling is not much better than what it used to be with a bent wheel! Wonder what could be wrong - wheel alignment/front fork or coneset or my mind

We are too...im just super sad at the way things 'were' handled...but i know that they're fixing the gaps and fast. Finally getting the modest kind of service that the baby blade deserves.

@chica : could it be possible that u got used to the driving style with the bent rim?.... it might take a few days to get used to the new handling..:/

Yes possibly! Also for some reason my front tyre pressure kept increasing so filled in nitrogen now to keep that in check.
Will wait before I report this problem. And yes, my body does ache after I got the new wheel so could be that it is just adjusting to it but I am still skeptical.
