      Can you post a pic??

The one i said for 4k is a proper paddock used on big bikes

And the one the ASC offered me was made by them for 2.5k but it had metal wheels, like the ones found on what the beggars roll them selves on

I didnt like that coz they easily slip off the bike...

What polish/wax and soap are you guys using to wash your rides???

Post first service i noticed my bike isnt willing to cross the 6-7k rpm and thus not allowing me to ride above 110kmph. Aargee had the same issue after his first service and the bike didnt do 130+ for some reason.
Today (12 days after the first service) i noticed my bike has been leaking oil from the bottom cowl(i suspect all the oil mustve drained out in the last 300kms post service). - Aargee noticed this when he was leaving his place for a trip in the morning.
I should've known the reason for bike not revving past 6-7krpm and the tremendous amount of heat the bike's been putting out post first service even though the temperature gauge was at 3 bars all the time - same thing as Aargee's

So now i am waiting to get my bike to the ASC tomorrow and blast everyone over there until i get a replacement bike cos i am not gonna sit around waiting for the engine to cease! Its more than likely that the 300odd kms i have done post service has done the damage and the bike a few mins ago didnt even want to pull in 2nd gear. Tremendous vibration at 6k in 2nd gear makes u feel like all the components are gonna explode in every direction.

So here i am. Helpless, Frustrated and uber pissed off at Honda.
If anyone has got any number or contact (other than [email protected]) please let me know so i can talk to a higher authority and get this thing dealt with seriously.

I know that if i leave the bike off at the ASC it will be there for a few days till someone attends to it and then another few weeks for finding a solution eventually after which they will ask me to ride her around just like that till she ceases in the middle of a freakking highway at 12pm!

          So what do i do?
sad to hear this from u

i think its only because u are using another grade eingen oil in your cbr same thing happened wid aargee .
1st try to change the engine oil to 10w30 FS then see the diffrence.

I second this. I have faced blunders changing the oil to Non-recommended ones. Honda's throttle 10w30FS is the best i have experienced.

@All: do post whatever you feel like here. But please think before posting. Its not true that seniors here have any attitude or so, but only that we have been religious to this thread from the beginning and contributed whatever we could. Only with the purpose of sharing info and helping others. But the point is information per page. Think of a person who wants help deciding on a bike and needs info. Should he surf through all so many pages with less info or repeated questions? 555 pages is 5550 posts. Should i read all of these to know about the bike or again add one more post asking the same whats there all over these pages?
Ok, i am not For or Against any one here and will be here. But how many times should the same info be repeated here? I everyone respects this community and the thread, please read the Rules. No sms language, no consecutive posts and search before you post is what followed all over this community. No hard feelings for anyone. Wont be commenting on this issue from now. Would be here to get help and help everyone. Just that i would waste some extra time reading posts of people who couldn't afford to spend time reading back.

1st thing is do is...just check Engine Oil leve before going to SVC and if needed correct oil level byt adding extra oil (Use Honda's Oil or else call them to pick ur bike ) .2nd thing rush to SVC and ask them to check Compression Pressure . they will perform some tests to check compression pressure be there at the time of diagnostics's and note down evey test result ad ask them to check/tally those test results with the service manual they've received from honda . If everything goes OK then there is no such Engine issue with your bike . BUT Dont forget to fill Engine Oil .
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

              • Facing a peculiar problem in my CBR after the second service. There's a weird faint rattle coming from the front of the bike whenever I accelerate and the bike hits the 4.5-5k rpm mark. The noise dies down after further rpm increase.
The sound is definitely coming from the engine and is not a body-panel rattle. It's similar to the rattle produced when a coin is placed inside a can and shaken. Showed it to the Honda guys but they say it's normal. Performance seems to be unaffected by this issue. Forums abroad are full of people facing the same.
Are any of you guys facing this issue?

                • First off, Congratulations on the choice you've made there bud

I have an ABS ver too and yes they do work, i have avoided several crashes thanks to this marvel From running into trucks to panick braking, done it all

But mind you the rubbers seriously dont do justice to the bike, but once they run a few kms they will get grippy

And about the members, its just a little mismatch of attitudes and yes, it will be a bygone with a little cool headed thinking and friendly approach..

Happy riding and yeah i have an Apache too, so you can count me too
Hey Jacob, thanks man Yes, gone s gone and no more speaking about that. Just received a call from my dealer that the bike is all ready and waiting for me. Cant wait to get my new baby, but posting this in XBhp..is far more important

This is some great info!! Thanks abhi! Btw, you too get your bike serviced @ vihaan right? Do they have this facility?
I too am facing unusual sounds from the engine at all speeds and engine heats up quicker than before.

Yes! I get this kinds sound too but honestly it feels like I am in the wrong gear at the wrong RPM whenever I hear that sound. Either I shift down or accelerate up and the rattling goes away.

To be safe, I try and be above 5k RPM (with or without pillion) and I don't hear the rattle. But it is audible, especially with a pillion on board, if I am say on 4th gear and lower than 4k RPM, 5th gear and lower than 4.5k RPM - these are only observations and actual RPMs could differ.

hey bro, yes i to get my bike serviced from Vihaan honda . Every service center have this facility only prob is most of the time mech have some ego and some times they dont know how to use this . I force 1 mech to do the test before changing my RTR's block and it saved me 5k rs . as there was no such compression issue with my RTR . ( I dont noe the exact name of the tool they use i request all the experts kindly explain this procedure so that others can understand what i meant to say. )

Avoid using warm water. 'Rinse the vehicle thoroughly with cool water to remove loose dirt'. read it in the manual

Same thing i noticed 2 days back. Ive read about the rattle at 5.5k rpm but this 1 is while accelerating and dies off after 4.5. It happened with me after driving for a while about after 12-15kms. but i dont get it everytime i ride it. hope it goes away after i get the 1st serviced done tmrw
