Fantastic, then you should be a happy man with stock clip ons!!! I'm 5'7 & 80 & still its comfortable; you'll realize the lower handle bar's convenience only during emergency stops.

    • @argee- I'll describe my seating posture.

I sit back on the seat (by that I mean, ass touching the rear seat, not groin touching tank). I hold the tank between my legs, gripping tighter as I brake harder. My back isn't straight when I sit. I'm slightly leaned forward, with my spine curved. Hands are gripping the handlebars, but I try not to put much weight on my wrists, except for unavoidable circumstances like emergency braking. Also, due to my back slightly bent forward, in order to look forward, my neck has to look slightly up (the way you would look at a 7 foot tall man in front of you). At all times, my hands are bent at the elbow, never straight.

So the triceps pain seems slightly mysterious, though the neck pain is expected from looking up for long periods of time. Also, my ass starts paining after sitting in bike for more than 2-2.5 hours, though that is thoroughly normal.

If this doesn't describe my posture very well, I don't mind uploading a pic sometime later.

No amount of words & literature will help my friend You'll need to learn through videos & get over things or else get yourself guided from some local expert who knows things.

Edit - Just noticed you're from Pune; talk to Trustvishwas Ji, he'll help you for sure. He's another inspirer who rode from Chennai to Pune in 15-16 hours that too lazily

        • Thanks. I'll talk to him at the next G2G.
I was kind of worried because I've done 2000 km on the bike in 6 weeks and have yet to get familiarized with the correct posture. I haven't had the chance to travel 200+ in one day, so maybe like you said, that might improve my seating.

PS: On a possibly related point, I think my triceps pain started after I purchased my Alpinestars riding jacket. I don't remember much riding discomfort before I acquired it. Though I don't think the jacket is heavy enough to cause such discomfort.

          • ^^^ Those are kind of myths; just talk to Ji, learn on the right posture. But don't assume that you'll get a pain free ride for 50 Kms atleast; there will be pain, but the key is that, when you switch over the posture the pains are likely to get away during & after the ride.

Check your workout program. Do you workout wearing your riding jacket

                      1. no radiator guard is not necessory just don't do pressure wash on radiator and tell this to svc also.

                      2. you can get frame sliders from PERFORMANCE RACING STORE and it will cost you 12500 k and they are not direct fit so for fitting they will cut your faring and in my openion they are not worth to pay 12500 for these type of frame sliders.
riding jacket is easily avalable in karol bagh you can check it there.

                      3. yes you can use any type of petrol from day one.

                      4. better dont change the strock setting of suspension, just ride it for some time and they decide weather you are comfortable wid that on not and get it changed from svc.

Just came back from the showroom and had to enquire about how much i could be getting for a trade in of my dio for the CBR and i was quoted 22-23k for an 06 Dio (46600odd kms)
I think thats a fair price
Anyway i also enquired about the number of CBR's sold and in a short span of 2 months it went from 3 to 28
2 black CBR's were being serviced and 2 customers had theirs parked outside the showroom.
If it wasnt for this unlucky rain i wouldve been riding mine already
                            Two more weeks!!

Also enquired about the accessories for the CBR and was told the silver shiny exhaust cover is available
Talked to service guys about doc_x's CBR's bent fins due to pressure wash.. the service manager politely said "Sir we dont pressure wash that area of the bike"
