I've never had any back-ache complaints earlier, previous bike being a P150, if that makes any difference, but I'd like to know from my fellow bikers and CBR owners here if they had such issues in the beginning. Could somebody point me to the correct posture and angle at which I can ride to minimise the strain on my back. Unlikely, but still I'm kind of worried it might cause some permanent damage.

That's because P150 has a more commuter-ish position than the CBR. I'd suggest use your lower body (thighs, legs) to hold the bike and put lesser weight onto your arms. And if you are on a long journey, try shifting your body, rather than keeping it stiff.

Have been using Cramster Colt for my RJ trip; someone (sry that I don't remember the handle, I think its kurtrules) said colt is a direct fit to the rear & I didn't believe. Y'day (don't ask me from where to where ) I'd a wonderful experience on the haul & the colt fit simply great on the rear seat. But ensure that the bag is fully loaded otherwise it might hit the exhaust.

There's nothing wrong; when your run in is complete, just do about 125 & stretch out your leg little away from the footpeg & see how things are, only then you'll understand the importance of close footpegs.

No need!!! I did without a chord y'day & also the bag had uneven weights due to which it only came forward to the front seat. Otherwise, excellent fit.

I'd the initial pain only for first 1000 Kms in 2 days, otherwise its absolutely fine; you may need to learn on how to get seated, otherwise, I couldn't have done Chennai-Pune in 15 hours without a backpain!!!

I always used to park my bike in wide space to avoid idiots from spilling their bikes on mine,it was the same today but some retard in our hospital parking just proved my this idea wrong(may be he was trying to squeeze in that space).
Leftside Footpegs,Bar-ends,RVM,Indicators,Grabrails have got scratches, magically left fairing escaped the damage but that idiot probably used the rightside middle cowl to lift the bike and its now loose( and i suspect its making a rattling sound at >8000rpm)
makes me feel so sick. I feel your pain bro.
just the other day i was travelling in bus and i witnessed a "standard happening" in our country.
2 bikes (<150cc) were parked next to each other in a busy street, now i dont know which one of them came last, one guy came out and while taking the bike backwards he hit against the other bike's back indicator and broke it, the yellow plasticky thing fell off to the ground. He now tries to make more space between the bikes and came backwards second time, now what surprised me is that, this dude actually stamped on the fallen parts on the ground. i mean, how ignorant can one be ?????

doesn't matter if its a moped or a superbike, there is absolutely no value for other people's possession in our country.

if anyone is working in an IT park, SE-Zone, broken parts are a common thing. i know a dude who owns an R6, he parks 1/2 a km away from the building where he works and walks to his office.

That sounds strange, avoid speeding on bad roads.
i had gone in for a early paid service, here in mangalore they charged me Rs50 for oil and another Rs50 for the filter change, chain adjustment was for free.
BTW im facing a dashboard rattle at arnd 5000rpm,thinking of opening and putting some insulation foam.

One fact its a weird and negligible one but still a fact, CBR250R is 3rd bike in India to have "Bybre" Disc brake installed.

First one is Pulser220, the second one is Yamaha SZ-R (Yes! It has Bybre as front disc ) and Third one is Honda CBR250R!
avenger220 also has bybre disc brakes

the rattles that u are feeling are coz of loose clips. if for anything if the fairngs are removed the plastic lock clips have to be replaced but due to unavailability the asc guys fix it using the same old clips which leads to improper fitting. i have rattling noise from the right side silver part which is near our knee.at 5k rpm try to keep ur hand or hold tight wid ur thighs u wont hear the rattle.

I am more confused to read your post than you are about your CBR!!! please write up in a neat & clean language. No sms language allowed.

Finally i am back to thread after a long long time. No riding experience updates as havent been able to ride the CBR last two weeks, but yes, the parts seem to have reached the SVC. The SVC incharge called me up informing that the cone sets and shims have arrived and i can take my bike there

@aargee: sorry Ji, i missed your PM and was away. Any plans on returning through Mumbai? Also can you post a pic of the cramster colt loaded on the CBR. (ignore if you have already posted it elsewhere. I am yet to explore other threads.)

@chicmagnet: did you visit vihaan honda?
