It must be only you & no one else!!! I'm sure the dealership ignored you completely or delivered to the ones who were demanding more than you did. If you need immediately, go to smaller towns & assured you'll get it in no time. I was promised a next day delivery at Jaisalmer.

Something really wrong with your riding or the bike; the worst I got was 24 Kmpl from Pokhran-Bikaner stretch to have covered 205 Kms in approx 2 hours with 10 min of break. My city rides lasts usually 30 Kmpl. Anyway, let me confirm this after a month of riding in the city.

          • what are the consequences if 10W20 is used for CBR (1st service) than 20W40 (mentioned in manual) ?
Now am worried, post 1st service bike is having vibrations even at 4.5K ~5k rpm but this was not the case before the service i could clearly makeout the difference. now when i was looking at manual am worried they used 10W20 which may be a used in UNicorn or so.

            Any thoughts ?

I agree. When I rip her beyond 100kmph she returns abt 25+/- 1 km, and in city riding she gives abt 30+/- 2. Even when I maintain speeds of 120...130 for long mileage has never dropped below 24 for me.

i think i am using wrong method to culculate the milage like i always fill my tank full as much as it can take..

next time will try auto cut to auto cut method..

today while filling fuel in it its full at 220 rs but i said fill it properly so its full in 300 rs and oil is 4.71 ltr..

if i will stop him at 220 rupees then in my calculation milage will be around 26 kmpl..

so can anyone confirm that which method you all are using..

                  • In the city, I usually use the first 3 gears. And mostly the first 2. 3rd very rarely. 4 and above, almost never.

I am in Coimbatore, I generally use 2,3 & 4th gear. 5th is a rare luxury, top gear never.

the lower the gear the lower the F.E?
and most reviews said the bike can do low 40's in top gear? Is that true or does the bike start to jerk?

                              Looks like the same.
                              A theory:
Lower gear result high rev = bad mileage
Higher gear result low rev = good mileage

This is what i observed about the mileage during my rides, What you guys thought?

                              • Update for CBR Owners in Bangalore

So today evening while I was coming back through MG Rd, I was waiting at one of the signals and a gentleman comes in an Activa next to me and starts talking to me. He introdoced himself as someone (don't remember his name - Arjun/Arnab/Aravind something) who works in an agency which works for Honda. He told me that they are planning to conduct an event for CBR owners in Bangalore. There will be a small service camp, some fun activities. We will be having Paintball, some bike related games as well. This will be mostly happening next weekend. I guess he said Saturday (24/09/2011). It'll be in EZone, Marathahalli. He was informing these to me and asking me if I would like to join. I replied, yes, definitely. He told me that there are close to 350 CBRs in B'lore. [Not sure how much truth is there in that. I told him that I personally know 50 of them. ] He said they will be informing it the various dealers and they would call and inform the CBR owners. Before the signal turned Green, I gave him my number and asked him to call me again tomorrow and give more details about it. I also assured that I can arrange many CBR owners from here.
I think its a good thing that finally they're doing "something" for the CBR owners. Hope they arrange track days also soon.
