Will probably take it again there to get my forks corrected as I feel the problem is still there though much lesser now . I asked about shims and they said my shims don't need replacement.

How Do I know if I need it replaced?

Bah! I lost all my confidence in the tyre yesterday. First was before the Dadar bridge which was wet with some other stuff (decaying vegetables I think) and the bike didn't go in a straight line (kept fish tailing) for over 50 meters. Was a harrowing experience that. Then later in the evening, it had started to rain as well and I had ridden 12 kms before it did. So got down, wore my windcheater and got up again and lo behold! more skidding . All this on a straight line which was scary so I didn't even try to take a corner without trying to keep my bike straight.
It was alright after that but that was scary enough for me to ride at speeds below 40 kmph on empty highways
Both instances, the tyre wasn't really cold for it to skid but it did and all of a sudden all my confidence in the tyre has gone to the dogs!

Anyways, about the mileage thingy. So like last time i said, my bike should have run 282.2 kms at a mileage of 30kmpl since I had filled 9.42 ltrs. Now the blinking has started and I think I have done around 270 kms and it has been blinking for 15 kms. Will drive till 300 kms and see how much petrol the bike will take.
I had the same experience on a staright on westen express Highway I was doing 70 - 80 it was raining the bike was out of control.

Is there any difference in the rear part, i think no. it may be coz of the full red paint scheme. TYGA has incorporated a new rear end to CBR250R which is their projects bikes. Looks good.
        Check this...
        one
        two

BTW i have contacted the person(@Paul in TYGA) for some OEM parts like, RVM's, clip-ons etc. he said they are available with them which i need to make an offer. i wanted Left RVM and the Left clip-on hence asked. But somehow i managed to resolve the clip-on bend(thanks to Yamaha SVC supervisor) so i didn't go for only the RVM. If anyone's interested pls contact Paul([email protected])

            • Mileage update :

I've been using shell super from the last couple of fill ups and both the performance and mileage have increased. The figure I'm quoting here is an average calculated after filling the tank thrice. Driving was a combo of 70% city and 30% highway. was red lining quite often too.

The mileage I got was 35.12 KMPL. Top speed achieved while running shell super was 165 KMPH.
              M800 - 2001 - 5787.
              Nano 2011 - 5086.
              Figo 2011 - 518.
              P220 - 2010 - 5995.

There's a power that comes from deep inside of you
'Cause every day you're reaching toward the light
And you know there's a long long way ahead of you
But when your wheels get you there,
                Things will turn out right!

Wait till around 1100 km. The wet grip on my tyres peaked around then. It's barely acceptable, but usable. No hydroplaning, but still not confidence inducing on straight roads. Cornering on wet road is out of the question. I'm thinking of changing it to Pirelli Sports Demon before next monsoon.

I have no idea bro. Earlier with normal fuel I was able to hit a max of 160 kmph. but with shell, Engine behaves differently.

I weigh 62 kgs. And it was on the nice ring road, Bangalore. More or less Flat stretch and yeah there were no crosswinds.

1.Dont wring the throttle above 6k rpm before the first service.
2.Go in for an early oil filter and engine oil change if you failed to follow step 1.
3.Go through this thread(Patience is the key here)
4.And above all, stop typing in sms lingo.

                                What is "hard run"???
i rode 300 km on day 1, taking rest every 40-50 KM, and driving mostly around 4K RPM and some times 5K RPM but never more than that...
So should i go for oil and filter change???

What is the good way to complete run in???
