  • @IceMang - I love that helmet bo. Such beautiful one & sad those are unavailable in this country.

I'd done about 2-3 times on very high speeds (triple digits) & if not for stock C250R's posture, the response would've been poor. What I'd be interested to know after rising the height is, how well does the panic braking yields to. What's the overall affect/improvement on the engineering regardless of posture.

    • Foot pegs needed

Guys, I had an accident recently and need to change just the right foot peg (thankfully, no other damage other than scratch on silencer cover). When I approached my dealer, he said that they haven't received those spare parts from Honda and I could have to wait for months to get them...
Any one has any idea where i could get a foot peg for CBR or maybe use one from other bike? I live in Pune.

PS: Is it necessary to get the first servicing done from the dealer from whom you bought the bike? Cause I don't think the workshop there is too good. Anyone knows what's the best ASC in pune?

      • ^^^ Search the ownership thread; there're replacements for footpegs that has been posted several pages back.

        • Utility of tank pad

          Dear All CBR Owners,

Hope you are all enjoying your bikes and the same with me too

I am presently thinking of putting a tank pad on my CBR tank. But I have a doubt on the utility of the pad.

          My concern goes here:
If I stick the pad on the tank, it does hide the paint underneath and hence protects against scratches. But the pad is bound to detach from the surface over a period of time and when it does, it leaves the surface dirty and also takes away the lacquer from the surface and might even the paint(?).

So, it has not actually left the paint protected in its original finish/appearance. Once the tank pad goes off, it needs me to cover the surface with another one or if I do not want the pad second time I have to repaint or do laquering to get the original appearance.Else, the tank surface looks spoiled.

Does the pad serve the purpose? Of course, it adds some aesthetics to the tank.

On a forward leaning posture motorcycles such as C250R, it protects the tank from accidental scratches from your pant's zippers.

Please note that the tankpad is stuck to the tank using the double side tape which it comes with. This, in case of good quality pads will be 3M.
Removing it will not spoil the paint&the sticker residue can easily be removed with soap water.
I am speaking out of personal experience as I have removed&reinstalled the tank pad on my R15.

Go for RTR180's which suits fine.
