  • Ji - Anything's possible & I guess we'll leave that to HMSI; may be if I get a good contact (read top management) from HMSI who's in the R&D, I certainly don't mind following a million times rather than provoking someone from lower level.

@Sudeep - Even after careful riding the engine blew off initially. Second time? I would take no chances. I'm even going to take EW. So I would certainly stay away from Motul's until 32K kms. Even if I change to Motul, it would be certainly at ASC & with their discretion. Like I already said, I've an Rx to meddle & C250R to ride; so no mess ups with C250R outside ASC

    • Confused about the Run In period speed

Guys i have recently got a Black CBR Std and i have 2 queries:

      1) what is the speed km/hr or the RPM to be maintained during the first 1000 kms or what is the Run -in time for CBR engine ie. in Kms. what speeds i should not exceed? as i am tempted to rip the beast quite a lot.

      2) I am wondering if Honda would be offering C-ABS fitment to std owners as it is optional, i would love to have C-ABS installed on my ride or shall i look for aftermarket ABS , are there any i.e. Daytona offering it in India.

Kindly solve my query. Thanks a ton in advance.

        1. Maintain < 5000 rpm
        2. avoid sudden accelerations (from the manual)

            • All C250R Owners - Is any of you observing (major or minor) vibrations on your RVM's during idling? 'Cause I'm observing in mine after running for few Kms (not when cold) Pls let me know. Tks.

PS - Wish most people agree with me & not put me into further trouble

                • Quality Checkup And Feedback Session

I just got a call from my dealer (Silicon Honda - Bangalore). There is a Quality Checkup and a Feedback Session for CBR owners on 5th July. Apparently people from Honda Japan are going to be there.

Whew!!! One relief to know, I'm not the only one to suffer. BTW, pls mention how many Kms you've clocked on ODO. It will certainly help me.

Well, its certainly not to be happy that others have issues, but, after the new engine, every little things are put under microscopic lens. Probably psychological part of mind to remain cautious!!!

                    Tks though bhs.

Guys, it is much appreciated, if you can mention the number of ODO clicks in addition. Tks.

I had got a call from Sapphire Honda couple of days back informing me that there will be a free Vehicle Checking Camp on 6th July.
He had told me that he would call me again when he has more details. So was waiting for his call, so that I can post it here.
Haven't got the call yet, but thought it would be good to share this news which sounds similar to the one above.

                          • Update on CBR Vehicle Checkup and Feedback Session

I had just called Sapphire Honda to confirm about this. This is what is told me:
                            - Engineers from Honda are coming for the Vehicle Checkup and Feedback (not sure if any Japanese engineer will be there).
                            - Dealers are calling up and inviting the CBR owners who have booked from their respective showrooms. However, other people can also come.
                            - Dates are different for different Dealerships. Here Sapphire Honda is conducting it on 6th July and Silicon Honda is doing it on 5th July.
                            - They would be testing our bikes and listening to our ownership experiences. We can mention our issues to them.

Nope no vibrations whatsoever during idling or speeding. Have already done about 1600kms on ODO. Though DK had reported some vibration on the right side on lower rpm's. Don't know if has been able to fix it.
