Can i put in Nitrogen in the tyres?
Finally picked up my bike yesterday... Red C-ABS. Could manage only 40kms yesterday but have another 100 planned tomm and more on Saturday. Anyone from Hyderabad wants to join?
Was wondering if i can fill up the tyres with Nitrogen??? Has anyone done yet?sasikiran_bs

Wow, Congratulations on the new Blade. She looks stunning in Red. I don't think there is any problem in filling Nitrogen.Originally posted by sasikiran_bs View PostFinally picked up my bike yesterday... Red C-ABS. Sasikiran, congratulations!! CBR in red looks glorious. Try catching up with Ram (ID: fastestindian), he might join you, but he already finished run-in.

Hi guys, need your suggestions. This weekend i am going on a xbhp G2G with Tibby and others
that would probably around 400 Kms. And the next weekend i am planning a ride to kutralam in TN and back to bangalore ride which would total around 1500+ kms. And my odo would be 2100+400+1500= 4000kms by next weekend. And i am planning for an oil change (no filter change) after that.
Currently the oil used is Honda Throttle 10W30 (semi synthetic), I would like to switch to mineral oil for next 2K Kms till my second service at 6K kms. Please suggest me if this will affect in anyway. And also please suggest me a good mineral oil(10W30). Thanks in advance.Explore the unexplored!

Do not be hurry to change the oils so soon. Honda's semi-synthetic oil would definitely be better than Motul mineral oil. Moreover, Honda Throttle engine oil is definitely tested by Honda engineers.Originally posted by Youngking View PostHi guys, need your suggestions. Could somebody tell who is making the Honda Throttle Semi-synthetic oil? My guess is it would most probably be Idemitsu.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Thanks for your sugestion. I did my first oil+filter change at 710Kms and now want to do it after 3300Kms, I think any oil would not be in a good condition after these many kms. Moreover 75% of my ride has been on highways between 80-110. Why i want to switch to mineral oils is because with the belief that as the engine is still new mineral oil would help loosen up a bit. Please correct me if i am wrong.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostDo not be hurry to change the oils so soon. Honda's semi-synthetic oil would definitely be better than Motul mineral oil. Mixing of oils is not advisable. Check the engine oil color and viscosity by touching. As it is a semi-synth, I am sure it will hold up for another 500-1000 kms. If are you in doubt, just use the semi-synth from Honda.Originally posted by Youngking View PostThanks for your sugestion. So after my HONDA dealers neglected me for a record 3 times(each time after taking my number and details and promising to call once the display bikes arrive) despite being a Honda customer, i went there yesterday and wallaa the bikes were there.
I talked to the guys there and asked them if the spares have arrived and they said
"No sir.. we are short on CBR spares as of now"
So i ask them if atleast the oil filters have arrived yet?
he says "No sir.. Oil filter's have to be changed at 12000 kms" (yep he said 12k alrite) and i tried to hold my laughter so hard but i looked at my friend and said
"Okay these guys know nothing"
so then i tell him
"But the manual says change filter at first service?" and he says
"Yes sir it says so in the Manual but we do it at 12k kms"
Now i am totally inclined to see what Yamaha has to offer. These Honda techs were either ill-trained or they skipped the training session for a movie like we did back in school
No wonder most of you guys are facing problems after the first service
Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

^^Did you ask the sales person or the technician there? He might have thought its an air filter. If not,

First of all let me thank you for giving me the chance to spend quality time with you,and the tech clarifications from you..It gave me an opportunity to be useful and learn at the same time.Originally posted by aargee View PostLast but not the least, I've to Thank 2 of my very good friends, PSR Ji & SriramEFunds who were with me at JSP Honda Workshop on Wednesday. I immensely Thank You all from my bottom of my heart to have been empathetic on this issue & your support through PM & phone. Thanks a lot.
Am I happy? Not really to say a very happy ending, but still, the ending is smooth enough, which could've been done better. Like PSR ji, says, the memories of this one bad incident keeps haunting all the time. When I did the TSG2G to Munnar this year, I didn't have a single thought if the Rx would let me down. To continue with the experience on the new engine as the days progress...
Bury the past and look forward to a better to-morrow...it is waiting for you to explore and excel.
Wishing the best always.

I think its best u pay the amount after you see the bike in flesh.....
Experience suggests they are not customer friendly.....
After taking your bike you would be doing infinite rounds, should any problem arise....
You better check the bike before its being sent to the RTO....
So i had rather wait and then pay......
cheers.....
yes the PCMC showroom....Originally posted by xxbomb View PostDONT!... let the bike come in, check it, do your PDI & only after satisfation put down the money.
or maybe ill pay but tell them that i have to look at the bike before they send it to the RTO...
