  • I do, Very very very minimal! Like in 2~4mm's. And major vibes at 2nd / 3rd gears after 5K rpm!

Still due for the first service! But I have lot of queries and adjustments to make! Have no clue, Who is trained enough at Chennai! So far as ya said I am having a choice of going to Didar, If you have better updates please do notify!

I see few pages back you were talking about Engine oil's bro? Now what should be done for the 1st service ? Honda's one ? Or the one you were talking about ?

Good for you. You mean not even 0.5mm vibes? If so, really good to hear. Tks though

This is precisely I experience excluding the 5K RPM part as I'm once again inside the run-in bucket; can't accelerate so much

Even in idling, yes, a small vibes, like I can figure out what vehicles comes in the rear in the rear, but can't read their numbers etc.

Dude, did I not tell you to simply walk to Didar T.Nagar & provided you the address? I heard the mech over there has experience working on R1; forget alone C250R, so he knows stuffs. I'm contemplating to go over there, but, for the distance. Also JSP's mech is also good, the only thing is that he's graduated from Rx days to C250R. So he has good experience, but, not in terms of big bikes.

Just leave it to HMSI ASC. Don't worry much, it only adds confusion

      • during idling the clutch lever also oscillates and there are small vibes on mirrors --was going to take a video but didn't get time

surprisingly there are no vibes or whatsoever at high speeds at all--it performs as I had imagined it to be

since am heading from tomorrow for a 3k+ kms ride now all problems will be dealt with after that

dunno why I think but I feel when I come back I will have many more & "unique" issues

          • Guys small query.. did anyone notice engine heating even after a short ride.. my engine heats even after a small 2kms ride. the reading on the console is 3 bars which i think shud be normal but the engine is very hot. Too hot to even touch. also i hav covered 400+ kms so is drivin at high speed ok? actually i did speed today on a small patch of highway which came my way so worried bcoz some of my frnds wer sayin u shud not speed past 60-70kmph in start can cause problem in long term. the dealer did not mention anything like this. also i clocked 129kmph in 6th gear and the bike just was not ready to go ahead. maybe bcoz of head wind. what do u think?

            • Tks DK; I thankfully don't have clutch vibes or anything. God only knows what else would vibrate when I go past 5K!!!

Take it to SVC and check coolant level ASAP.

Dude even i am worried about the same problem of exceeding 70 kmph and occasionally hitting 110 on highway as i hated being overtaken by 100cc commuters and smiling.one of them even said "it's just a normal bike meant for show off, splendor goes fast....lol", i normally ride at 5000 to 7000 rpm at 60-70 kmph, i guess it will not affect my engine life.svc guy told me to ride between 40-50 kmph but that's not practical on highway, kindly advice if its true that riding at 70 kmph in the beginning will affect performance. Besides there is a minor vibration from fairing and i have clocked 275 kms till date.

                  • Now a days even my bike is heating up very very quickly, and the radiator fan turns on after only few kilometers of riding at average speeds. The radiator fan make awful lot of noise and its vibes have also become very severe and can be easily felt over engine's vibes at low speeds.

What could have been the issue? Took it to SVC today they said it is normal, just clean the muck on the fan to reduce the vibes.

Have tried it will update tomorrow if it has worked.

Meanwhile please add your views on the possible cause of the issue.

                    Thank You.

How many kms have you clocked? One of the possible reason for radiator fan vibe may be it is unbalanced due to some mud sticking to it or small piece broken from it. Check closely if the fan is fine.

Quite normal. If you notice well, the 3 bars will appear after a Km ride also. Unless the bar raises to 4 you don't have to be bothered much.

I'm doing a second run-in & I don't get past 5K RPM which is 80 Kmph. Just don't do sudden acceleration or hard engine braking that's all.

Originally posted by luvaudi View Post

Just don't do it again; my suggestion would be, since you've done about 400 Kms, wait for another 100-200 Km & keep up your RPM not exceeding 5K. Then open up gradually (not sudden acceleration) upto 6-7K RPM.

One of the reason for the heat that I believe is - the damn FE!!! People might've tuned for better mileage by running the engine a little lean I guess, which is also evident from the sizes of inlet & exhaust ports.
