  • hellow guys!!
had been away from the PC for a few days so cudnt post here

Seems Argee got justice!! congrats aargee!!!

since i didnt ride my bike for nearly 2 weeks, i am making up for it now...its 1475 kms on my odo and no problems yet except for this one:

@ Binoy ; what exact kind of sound are u hearing from the front part because i too notice a sound!!!

its like when u rev up, u do hear the vroomm vrommm...but in the background, i hear a "tik tik tik" kinda sound like the one you get from a cycle chain.....

Tried out all the gears at all RPMs... at first gear i did a max of 7K...on 2nd i did a 9k (slight vivbes can be noticed >8K only if u are concentrated enough to notice the vibes).. 3,4,5,6th gears at 9K rpm with slight vibrations which i think is absolutely normal

    now the bad news:

had been to a resturant with my bike parked outside and some curious hands simply cudnt resist to touch and pose on it and dropped my bike and ran away of fear, while others came and picked it up (as told by the local people)...the sound of it made my heart crack and i ran for my bike...did a thorough inspection and thank my stars there was absolutely no damage to the fragile parts.. only the bar end got a slight scratch on the bottom side and my gear lever is slightly bent towards the bike which causes false gearing too often...will fix it tomorrow morning myself as its just a slight bend...

next is my grab rail...sisters purse got a line scratch on the grab rails (u know this is y i hate to drive with a pillion..in the other CBR forum, i remember a guy asking for cowl for rear seat so that doesnt have to take pillions..i respect his thoughts)

will the service guys recolour it??

Hmm..I think in Bangalore, All the people are using 10W-30 FS oil.

& abt the rubber mountings, not sure of it, but i remember someone talking about some rubber/silicon mounting in the fairing.

Sorry aargee, I was not talking specifically about 4.5k rpm or 6th gear. I've felt the vibes, but have not really checked on what rpms. I will check later and confirm about it.

                • Some exclusive snaps.. They have conducted it for Kerala region. It was conducted on "Kari Motor Speedway" Coiambatore. We went as a rally( all CBR 250R) to Coiambatore. There were around 30-40 CBRs participated in this camp. Honda has done free check up and rectifying some minor issues on the spot and for major issues they will contact the dealer and process through that way. I harve told them about rusting issues and oil leak issues. They told CBR is using liquid gasket and not the paper gasket. So we need to put liquid gasket while changing the oil filter. Due to lack of spares dealers are not doing this. They told me they will contact my dealer and fix the issues. Also there was racing of all the class bikes from 110 cc to 600 cc on the race track. Twister, stunner,Victor, RTR, R15, CBR 150R, CBR 250R, CBR 600RR, R6 etc. It was really fun to ride lot of CBRs together. We all enjoyed it very much.

My bike has that sound since the first day. According to ASC incharge, its from the steering cone set and he has ordered it & will replace.

Don't know what to say, I'm seriously considering to stay away from 10W-30 unless I'm in Leh. Here in Chennai, I'd prefer 20W-40 for the kind of lubrication that is required in hot weather.

WTH!!! There's nothing happening in Chennai or am I the only joker not to know of anything that's happening around in Chennai? So how many places this has been carried out?
                            KL - Done already
                            KA/BLR - This week
Hopefully, Chennai should be on the cards sometimes during this month.

Did you see any Japanese blokes in the camp or were they only Indians?

Whaat??? This is something I'm hearing for first time. When they removed mine, I couldn't even find a gasket in first place. Can you throw some more light on this pls?

And how serious is this liquid gasket stuff? Anyone aware of this pls?

The info is wrong....Liquid gasket will be used on surfaces that are not opened often, like the two halfs of crankcase , bore bottom end etc..It can be used to seal joints ,and or gaskets from leaking liquid.
The most popular, trustworthy and easily available Liquid Gasket is the " Three Bond " .it is about 25/- for a small tube of 15 Gms.
