Rival?! No! Each bike is different and these are two different bikes entirely! I personally love the looks of the cbr250r though! I want that rear wheel hugger! lol! Yes Ram, was great riding with you, hopefully we'll do a long one soon!

Regarding the issues of the cbr250r, i think things are being blown out of proportion and the majority of the bikes have no/almost zero issues (Ram's bike as an example). I do understand the minority having few problems is highly unacceptable (honda standards) but we need to be careful not to spread the negativity and thereby confusing potential buyers by leading them to believe there's a problem with most bikes. I do sympathise with Aargee and i sincerely hope the standard of training given to the mechanics does improve but we have to remember this is THE biggest high powered motorcycle launch in the history of India (in terms of volume, cubic capacity and Honda's global market) albeit hastily launched, it's bound to take some time for little niggles to be sorted out! I just hope Honda customer care take each and every concern of the owner very seriously!

Is there any official forum or website whereby we can place complaints? How's the reply from the customer care like?

    p.s. I did 175kmph+ Ram!
My bad abinav, I'm bad at numbers. I gave an appx number infact

And yeah people still call ninja a rival when they talk about CBR 250. In the cbr launch thread, I remember some wise guy saying " its useless to fight upon which is the best, Because one day the kwacker and the baby blade will ride together ". This is infact true and is happening.

@ all : The lots coming these days seem to have no issues. Maybe just regular issues but not something big. Check out with some recently owned owners and you'll get your answer whether to book yours or not. Happy riding

Yes! They are rivals, for Honda and Bajaj (Kawasaki) . They are just companions for us the bikers.

I was amongst the first to buy the Kawasaki Caliber in Ahmedabad and me and brother managed to Modify the bike within the Warranty Period, would take it for service in BAJAJ ASC and they used to be more than helpful to guide us with further mods. They were so astonished when the first time my brother took the bike to ASC with a twisted handle bar like an Enticer, the entire Mechanical staff of ASC can out to have a look at the bike, they could have void our warranty but they didn't do so.

I have been a Bajaj fan ever since and still own my Caliber though grew out of the twisted handles and all, bike looks more stock now

          2. 4.5K RPM at 6th gear & vibes starts right from thighs all way upto legs?

I quite see my engine is smooth, punchier & torqy, except for the above 2 issues.

Damn!!! I'm even losing my sleep over these issues
          Hi Aargee,
          1. No. My RHS RVM screw was a little loose. Tightened it and its fine now. No issues.
          2. Yes, there are very slight vibes at the place where I place my knees while riding (fairing below the below the tank). But it isn't a serious issue I believe.

          Thanks buddy!
It took it around a months time. They first sent me Yamaha keys by mistake. Later I contacted them and they sent me the Honda keys and asked me to keep the Yamaha keys too.

          • I'm another happy CeeBer owner here. I have been riding this week for few days now, but wanted to try the bike in all conditions first before putting my experience across.

Vibes are not much, every bike(ok,no 'ALL') would have a lil vibes at high RPM's & this is no different. The stability has been TOP notch throughout.

The only con was the seat cover was a lil not of my taste, but i have a habit of modding (foam + another cover wrap) over all the bike's seats i've owned. So this was not a issue.

No vibrations from Mirrors at low / mid rpms..& i wasnt looking at mirrors at higher rpms..so cant comment.
Argee, pls get the rubber/damper in the fairing checked. I believe the service guys who are handling your bike are not very good at what they do. :/

There is a lil vibe in 3rd and 4th gear over 5.5k rpm though. But the ride becomes butter smooth once i switch to 6th gear.

            • Thanks for your replies, i am also not facing any issues with my baby blade the thing i think is rust is almost the same as i use to get on my R15 after rains or wash although in R15 the rusting was severe but rode hassle free 3 yrs.i guess wiping away with a cloth would do the needful.
Regarding handle vibrations they are not severe just that i have a habit to check if the bike is stable at 70+ kmph so i leave hands , anyways maybe i am comparing the handling to my older ride(R15) which use to have no vibrations in handle coz of hard suspension upfront .
The bike is very flickable around twisties as i take my ride to job everyday and newly built T3 airport has butter smooth roads and curves, enjoyin the ride below 5000rpm but eagerly awatin to cross that barrier once first service is done, can't hold horses for long......

The only big issue is it's a big crowd puller and idiot magnet , so whenever i am back from my shift i find some or the other poser idiot sittin on my bike like they own it and then the long list of queries" kitna avg hai" etc. what i hate is ppl messing with the RVMs, switches and people rubbing their bikes on my exhaust shield, but alas that's the thing you gotta face in a public parking.
"Live free, Ride Hard,Ride safe and yes always wear a Helmet".

I don't ride fast i just Fly low on a winged machine.

I have dropped the bike but the rattling sound from the front is there before the fall. my friend has also the same problem. The suspension sound is after the fall.

Even if you consider all the issues posted here & feel its not worth, then, you may still need to reconsider. Its the poor ASC & unresponsive, unattentive HMSI that sucks a big time. Product wise, its certainly good. I personally feel its a best city commuter for more experienced riders. You simply don't need to scream the vehicle & just ride relaxed & yet be in the front of most people; no cutting gears when overtaking.

Mine is one of an incident, so you can ignore mine. Otherwise, if you're able to get hold of some good ASC/C250R mechanic & keep your requirements more of realistic, then this will be a perfect all rounder.
Thanks for your advice. I still have time till november, let us see how the situation is then and what the competition has to offer.

@all:- i am happy to hear that most of u are satisfied. That gives me some confidence.

You mean 6th gear & 5K RPM? Reason I stress is because, in none other gears I experience this vibes. Its only in the 6th & 4.5K+ RPM.

Is it a rubber mounted engine ?

Mine is quite opposite of what you described here. But again, I cannot cross more than 5K for the moment, so anything I comment is only less than 5K. Mine starts at 6th gear & 4.5K & continues upto 5K RPM. The vibes are very much noticeable right from thighs to foot.

Bike run for 1535 (precise) & new engine for 330 Kms. No such issues.

Like I keep saying, its Honda's attitude & inability to reach their top management for escalation & dealers in-attentiveness is what is annoying people. Not the product as such.
