Satya - there's one more reason; C250R has hard compound tires; they need soft or medium compound. That's the reason it takes to warm them up.Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostCold tyres probably? Tyre temperature should reach an optimum before it really starts gripping. Just came back after giving my bike for servicing. The service advisor already knew about the precautions to take while washing the bike, like not doing pressure wash. I'm impressed.
However, they do not have any oil filters in stock and the odometer read 751km. They'll only replace the engine oil. Invoice of approx Rs. 600. When I asked how many CBRs they have serviced, he said mine is the second.
Had to walk 3km back to home after taking a bus.

I fell in love again and for ever
! With tlast weekend ride to my home (380X2) I crossed 5K kms successfully without any issues (touch wood). Last friday I heard some rattling noise from the front @2.5K rpm and thought ok would get solved after the 2nd service, but soon found it was from the front license plate. The screws were loose. After fixing them it is absolutley fine now
.
Everyday I am impressed and fell in love totally atlast, I would say it is the perfect motorcycle for my use
.
And anyone help me with this, my chain goes dry after every 200Kms, I use a spary chain lube (don remember the brand). And when i use my old engine oil for lube it goes smooth for little longer but my rear wheel is all spilled with oil
.
How often to lube the chain normally? Any other kind of chain lube than that spray thing? thanks in advanceExplore the unexplored!

The Honda service person used 20W40 engine oil, he said that's the best for the weather conditions right now. The smoothness of the engine after the first service is really really good. I was easily able to hit 100kmph, and on a bit more open road I managed to hit 120kmph.
*Still no engine oil filter*2011 - CBR250R ABS.

Done! Congratulations!Originally posted by dreamseller View Post@Sudeep: Please update my name in the excel to green

According to the Honda engineers who came to Bangalore couple of weeks back for the Vehicle Check up and feedback, Kolkata has the maximum number of bookings. Not sure how true it is. Our list just have 5 from Kolkata and only 3 delivered till now.

Dunno. But yes, they did get a lot of bookings. No idea about the numbers. Any idea by the way, if they came here or about to come here?Originally posted by sudeepnbr View PostAccording to the Honda engineers who came to Bangalore couple of weeks back for the Vehicle Check up and feedback, Kolkata has the maximum number of bookings. i would strongly recommend Motul Chain Cleaner and Lube.. I used it and have rode around 500kms from then and the chain is in fantastic condition.. i took my bike to SVC yesterday for filter and oil change (done 1st service already though), the technicians there were impressed by seeing my chainOriginally posted by Youngking View PostI fell in love again and for ever

.. most others chain were all rusted and one chain i saw was completely orange in color
..
P.S> yesterday the SVC was opened exclusively for CBR filter change..
there were more than 10 CBR's when i was there..
congrats bro.. lets meet up someday..Originally posted by dreamseller View Post@Sudeep: Please update my name in the excel to green
and regarding the service camp they said it might happen by this month end.. but no update as yet.. i'll share if i get any update on that..
@Sudeep: might be true because when i booked on May 1st mine was 130th booking in that showroom(TODI) and at the same time the other showroom(SHIVA) said they have 50 bookings.. there are only two Honda Showrooms in here.. but i seriously doubt that if they have delivered 129 before mine..Last edited by kishoremuthu; 07-25-2011, 06:17 PM.Everybody dies.. That's most important; its like saying, I ate something & I don't know what I had!!!Originally posted by Youngking View PostI use a spary chain lube (don remember the brand).

Obviously!!! And that's the reason someone invented chain lube in the canister!!!
Say about once in 500 Kms or so; but keep lubing more on dirty environment. Keep hearing the engine & the moving components for few months & you'll learn the dynamics automatically.Originally posted by Youngking View PostHow often to lube the chain normally? And on the brand - MOTUL & Wurth.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle
