So what was the issue? AN ENGINE SEIZURE AFTER FIRST SERVICE!!! (READ 950+ Kms) Probably the first seizure in this country or worst case, first seizure in the entire.. All I'm asking is...WHY ME???

Bro i deeply feel sorry to hear about this.... never expected such a thing from a so called global launched bike and that too from a bike maker like HONDA... definitely this is a proper negative publicity for them (Honda if you are reading this!!).. if one pays a premium amount of hard earned cash, one expects quality which in this case was a complete downer and completely neglected..

i guess judging by your experience.. it is safe to say that to go ahead with the purchase of any of such high end bikes one should wait out for atleast 6 months till the bike company sorts out all the problems related with the 1st few batches and rectifies them in the new ones..

it seems HONDA is selling the 1st few batches as guinea pigs, learning about the actual results from regular usage of their product rather than tests conducted by them and sealing their conclusions based on it.

Also letting inexperienced svc mechanics to handle, fiddle around, screw up and learn on our bikes!! completely unacceptable!!

i hope you indeed do take the matter up with Honda and do threaten them to give you a completely new replacement bike with every frekkin thing triple checked or you are going to sue them!!

• I suggest the engine seizure issue along with pictures be forwarded to Auto Car, Overdrive, BSM magazines for publishing. That should make honda sweat in their pants. Absolutely unacceptable.

• guys like sudeep & others who have not felt issues on their bikes

can you please confirm about vibes (rather the grunt ) at lower rpms on the right hind side rider footpeg while riding

the reason I say is I rode 3 more CBRs & all had the same characteristic.further discussion to shims was propogated beacause of the same reason.

spoke to other owners in Mumbai & each one confirmed the same hence advised as a standard measure to put in additional shim.

The same was confirmed from a mech trained by honda from vihaan honda thane.

sO what I wish to confirm is this the bike character & you guys live with it and/or are habitual or is it not there

ps:additional small incident happened last night -- since I ride extensively in rains too -- when the headlight switch was put to on the display console light would go off but the headlight would remain on.tried this 2-3 times ,than pressed the switched to on/off position & later didn't happen again.

• Its really shocking to hear about the engine seizure. Honda should stick to selling scooters and their current range of motorcycles.
They are not ready to sell the high-end CBR, which they did in haste.
Think of the response they would give to customer in smaller cities where hardly 5-10 bikes may be sold, if such issues happen.
Secondly as i read, we do not have customer-friendly laws, so companies can just raise their hands and give u repairs or replacements. Refunds would require a long battle.
Wake up HONDA...

I agree it is time we get these things published so that at least the Honda management will start treating Indian customers more seriously.
