  • This is even what I believe so how can someone change the oil and "wait" for the oil filter to arrive before changing it ?

There's an universal size available, tested for perfect fit for C250R at Bachoo motors, costs about 6K. DK or someone said, they're planning to get one done locally at half the price.

Lol!!! I assumed that. When you said white smoke, there will be 100's to say rings issue to faulty cylinder. AFAIK, there're were only so many issues reported with C250R globally...
      1. Mode button not working as expected
      2. Faulty shims due to which, knocking at low end

The only valid option i can see is Rjays stand which costs around 6000..but no,even though its a permanent investment and a cost for quality, i am not willing to pay rs 6,000 just for a rear stand!

the other option that remains is to get my creative juices flowing and actually go for a DIY!! (and save a few bucks in the process)
Move the bike front n back and spray the lube. But its really irritating and waste of time, which you can do in 15 mins using a paddock stand. Check whether R15 paddock stand will fit, which is the cheapest stand available. Else find some SBK service center and visit them to lube...

3K is reasonable. Which brand? Available in India? Any links?

            • You can try to buy the stand from a Honda service station, if available. I have asked them to order one for me. It is priced at 2250 and is red in color. saw it when my bike was serviced

              • Back home after a 400 kms ride (Bangalore - Salem - Bangalore)
Almost 1000 kms on the odo now! Giving it for first service tomorrow.
When I reached here, found that one of the nuts from the mirror stem is missing. And because of its movement, it has made scratches on the nearby area!! The paint have gone slightly!!!

Why not try and fabricate one ...it will be cheaper and satisfying.

I dont think its branded but looking at the no of pieces sold (235!!!! ) i think it has to be good!!!

Swingarm holders seem to be adjustable so i am pretty sure it will fir the CBR...

just to make sure, i have sent them a msg asking them abt the same and the postage charges and em still awaiting a reply....

herez the stand, take a look :

REAR PADDOCK STAND MOTORCYCLE MOTOR BIKE CYCLE TRACK on eBay (end time 09-Jul-11 15:13:12 BST)

On the contorary i am thinking of building my own "abba" based stand which seems to be easier to build and use than conventional paddock stands.while paddock can only lift the rear or the front (and not both), abba designs can lift both the front and rear just like a conventional stand...it seems easy to build too!!!!

i talked to my welding guy (who does all my DIY projects) and hes interested to try this out too!! sadly, hes out of town for a few days and he will work on it after 4 days if i want him to:

wats a abba design stand? this is it :

                      • I have had an attempt at making a paddock stand for the CBR and Ninja. And it was an success. Total cost incurred >1000rs.

The stand is at a friends place so dont have pics of the final completed product, but sharing some pics taken while making it.
(It looks much better after completion with tires and some paint on.)

                        sorry for the cam quality.

That is a real good design and fool proof...most welders can do it...the square section tubes will have to sourced and cut to spec then it will be quicker to fabricate and use

                            • I've got a fabrication shop of my own. Planning to make one paddock stand for myself. If anybody else is interested, let me know. Let me figure out the design and the cost that I'll incur. If more people want it, economies of scale will help me.
At least I've got one thing that i can do till the bike comes...
