  • I have never felt knocking till now (195 kms done) but I felt some vibrations when the rpm is low in top gears (4, 5 & 6th). I immediately change the gears and it feels fine.

I think this bike needs to be in ridden only in high rpms. Stupid Power thirsty bike

Yes agree with that. Needs to be revved to avoid vibrations otherwise pull a gear down.

      • It's been more than a week that I've got my bike.
        • No. of kms done per day was 70, 40, 40, 200, 30, 30, 30, 30, 15 (all approx) in the order of days.
        • You can definitely do long rides, provided you give enough breaks (so that the engine doesn't get heated up) and keep it under 5k rpm mark (I occasionally take it till 6-6.5k).
        • I've not felt my engine getting heated up fast. Probably only when I've to start-stop many times in the traffic, I feel the heat. The fan behind the radiator blows the hot air to your legs.
        • Engine was idling at 1.5k rpm initially, but now it seems to be on 1.7-1.8k rpm. Is that an issue?

Idle rpm will be different at the first start of the day and after some KMs (if you are checking that way).
.2 and .3 difference is not a problem and it will be corrected during the normal service.
Whether the service center will check and correct the idle rpm, is up to the service center's attitude. You might have to inform them

Have you checked whether there is any service manual available for CBR250R online. It will help us to do a little bit of DIY.

Thanks for replying. I guess idling part is normal then. When I had spoken to the Service manager yesterday, he told me those things would be adjusted in the first service.

Here is a link from another forum, where SaiKamalDoss had shared the Shop Manual. This Shop Manual is only available with the SVC guys and he managed to get the book and scanned it for all and made a pdf book of it.
Link: CBR250R Valve Timing Shop Manual
This would greatly help those planning to service their bikes themselves or do some DIY.

Sound is subjective and the video sound will be different from the original, especially that from inside walls. Will definitely void the warranty.

Leo Vince ONE SS slip-on available now in India for Honda CBR250R. Price 24K INR. You may check that as well.

                        • cbr stalling issues!

                          hi guys ,
i hav noticed my cbr stalls while riding, sometimes in second gear and also in first gear ! i hav filled my cbr with regular petrol ! should that be the reason for the above issue?
i fill regular petrol coz had i used premium / high octane petrol there is chance of mix up at times of non-availability of premium petrol!
guys plz suggest what should i do!!!!!

I cant comment on the sound, because as mentioned, its varies a lot in the video and real...

I remember, before CBR250R was launched in India, some guys had put up a "cbr250R sound" video in youtube which sounded no better than a 20 yr old scooty, but in reality, our bikes sound soo much smooth and deep!!

but have to agree, of all the AM slip-ons i have seen, 2 brothers looks the best!!

Chk if ur bike is Idling properly or not or is it dies(stalls) on Cold morning or If there is any fluctuation in idling . I suspect chocked injector
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.
