    1. default - till i noticed the noise
    2. set to hard today, and lubed the area of contact. the noise is gone now but i know it will be back soon in no time.

bought it from saphire honda bangalore, replaced in saphire. the service manager there is a nice guy. he told me that when i get back from home in july that is, he will call honda and ask em what to do about it. i am leaving bangalore in a week so i dont want it to change my travel plans. i just want to know what do you guys think the problem might be. i am confused as to how this can happen twice.

@Micheal - hope you know me, I too had the squeezing noise from the rear suspension in the very earlier stage. I lubed the inside portion(not the springs) of the suspension with Motul Lube and the sound never came till today(touch wood). As you have tried that before which didn't solve the issue I request you to send a mail to Honda about the issue. One positive thing is that Saphire guys are really good enough to back you up.

@Aargee - I too come in that "lazy ass" category. So better put it in the sig

I will hopefully be getting the delivery of my red ABS CBR 250R tomorrow. Just want to make sure that it is of the latest batch so that it has the (whatever) latest updates and improvement in quality that is supposed to have been introduced in the Tricolor..
Can someone please tell what is the month of manufacture of the Tricolor ? And secondly, how do I check the month of manufacture of the bike the showroom people show me ? I tried searching on the thread but did not really find a definitive answer...
Apart from that, I will be taking the PDI list someone shared to make sure everything else is okay - anything else I should be checking specifically ?

thanks in advance for the help...
        Hi again,
As I said yesterday, I was supposed to be given the delivery of my red CBR 250R ABS today...

Reached the showroom with my father sharp at 3PM (that's the time the salesperson had promised to get the bike from godown and have it all ready). As is the practise in our country, it wasn't there and we waited for 1.5 hours for it to arrive! And then when I started checking it, the first thing I check and notice is that the bike had already been ridden 134 kms! On asking, the salesperson first said it is normal with all the bikes as they come from Gurgaon (as if they are ridden from there) and then from godown to showroom (which is not more than 5 kms away). When I showed that that other CBR 250 and 150 bikes in the showroom had no more than 2 kms on the odo, he started making other lame excuses like it must have been ridden in the factory and other such stories..
I was very clear that I was not going to buy a bike that has been ridden to that extent - first 200 kms are the most crucial for a long life of the engine and for all I know, it might have been ripped to the limit by the showroom people and taken out for a joyride before handing over the same bike to an unsuspecting customer as a 'brand new' bike!! Absolutely disgusting and makes me wonder if this is the level of trust and service being given out by Honda (that too for the premium bike) what will be the level of after sales service ! Cancelled the booking and looking for some other better dealer who does not cheat customers like this...
This happened at Race Honda in east Delhi -so avoid them if you can!
And on that note, can someone suggest a good dealer in Delhi (preferably in East Delhi) ??
Lastly - if someone has the email IDs of Honda officials, please share - I have already sent a complaint email to [email protected] but would also like to send it to more of their officials...

        Thanks...

thebiker2k2 - Very Brilliant move; I know its easier said than done, but you made a wise decision. After all, you're paying for a new motorcycle that entitles you to have a brand new one.

Race Honda...the cheaters right? Will keep that in mind. Tks for warning all of us here.

A little tip here is that, get a CBR from one of the oldest HMSI dealer in your locality, you're less likely to get older stock.

Job well done. They clearly tried to sell u a test drive vehicle. It shouldn't have more that total to and fro distance to RTO office on it if delivered after registration. Mine had exactly 15km on d speedo after rregistration.

That is a shocker to me! These dealers are tarnishing the image of HONDA.
Good move from you. A 20 km is acceptable. But this is way too much.

If you can put up good, quality, pics of the black side panels, I might be able to suggest you a very cost effective solution, unless, you're determined to buy carbon fibre stickers.

Post some pics of the marks...sometimes while polishing if the wax is accidentally applied on the plastic marks can happen. But I think we can remove it, so pls post some pics before taking a decision
