Rachit just gave the link, PSD 140/70 is quite available in india, would cost around 3300 to 3800, i am myself looking for a set. Have a dealer in old delhi, a reliable one, a month ago i bought a set of 19" Duro tires for my bullet from the same.

Just missed the details of this dealer, will share once i locate. It might be of use if you are in north.

          1. Go for PSD if you can get 140/70R17; I'm a stock lover, so I don't suggest anything other than stock. When I tried searching for 140/70, I was told PSD doesn't come in that size. But people have been using it, but not sure if its 130/70 or 140/70 Cost not sure.

          2. Dunlop is being used by Srivaastav; has a good opinion on it; Cost around 2.9K

          3. No idea; one more option left is MRF ZapperQ, which, IMHO, is more suited during rains than dry weather.

I'm using second set of Conti, feel its certainly better

Whenever you settle for one, pls post your review & if possible the dealer from where you bought; this is to update post #8100. Tks

            • PSD has a 140/70 section tyre. When i enquired in Bglr last week many of the shops are telling 140/70 is not coming now only 130/70 and some other lesser size models are only available. One shop owner told me 140/70 has no ISI mark that's why it's not available, all those bollocks. Any way it's not available in Bglr. Can someone confirm that???

Same reason told to me here in Chennai; even if you find a PSD, ensure to check the dates for a very reason that, this law was passed about 6-7 months ago. So if you find any genuine PSD, they're atleast 6-7 months old stock, add to that, the number of days it takes to reach India after they're manufactured. Even if it were an year old, its OK to pickup one as most of the tires can be used easily upto 3 years from the date of manufacturing.

Well, Mine doesn't have PSD, but I've ridden my friend's CBR that has the PSD, and I can confidently tell that its million times better than the ContiGo!
                  Two main point:
                  1. It's a soft compound tyre, because of which I felt better grip. But in turn, life of the tyre would be less.
                  2. It has a round profile, which make the bike eager to lean on the corners. It's very confidence inspiring.

Yes, true. Very difficult to find it on Bangalore. Though I heard some dealer has one piece left with him, but he was asking 5k+ just for the rear one.

Will surely check that. Also here in Bglr I found a tendency from some shops that they are trying to sell the Conti more than PSD. When I talk about Pirelli he will talk about Conti. I said am currently using Conti for the very reason am asking about PSD.
shop guy: Oh sorry sir I didn't know that, but Conti is better than PSD. Story restarts.
Me: Am panicking and am out, TADA

5K+ that's too much. If that's the case I will stick to Conti itself and it is definitely not bad to trade it for PSD for that much money

P.S: Sorry lazy enough to muti-quote the message. Pls excuse this time

                      • ^^^ Binoy reason is simple; all the local tire manufacturers have ISI; right now Conti, Dunlop & MRF who're authorized to sell & hence they stock up. Could be a lobbyist working

Yes very much true You have given up the search for other tire model and end up with Conti itself the second change?
Luckly I got a warranty replacement when the first tire(rear) was 7k+ and I think it can run with the second which is quite younger and last for atleast 20K on the odo. No urgencies yet, but the front is maturing to its old age

Did you changed the front yet?

Mine too. i think mine will last about 2-3 k. I've still not decided which one to go for. I am saitisfied with ContiGo and may go with it again. Even i got mine replaced at 8k on odo under warranty. My current odo reading is about 14.5k and i think this tire will last about 8-10k more. I think my current tyre is of better quality because when i got my first tyre replaced at 8k, it seemed that they would not last much.
