And also remember, its not only the time, Diesel sticks to the chain & when you lube it unless it dries off completely, the lube doesn't stick to the chain & falls off to the rear alloy wheel.

Anyway, your bike, your OPINION, your time Ensoy cleaning with Siesel

I apply the lube only after diesel completely dries off and i also wipe it off with a cloth.

                • CBR250R or CBR 150R..?

                  Hey Riders,

I need your inputs on a dilemma.. I currently own a RaceConcepts modded YZF-R16 and am looking for a new bike primarily for better comfort (Am more of a tourer). I've been real happy with the Yammie except for the committed riding position and the extremely stiff shocks. After a lot of research I'd settled on the Honda CBR250R.

The launch of the CBR150R intrigued me and post a test-ride i'm completely in love with the bike! With the price difference being just about Rs. 32,000/- between both bikes, I wanted your inputs and suggestions on which CBR to go for..

My riding constitutes of my daily commute to office (about 15km a day) and weekend rides (200-300km average). The CBR150R makes more sense to me since I'm happy with the power of the R16, and the baby Fireblade has a tank-range of 550km+ because of awesome mileage. I do realise that it won't be an 'upgrade' if I get the 150R, so was wondering if the 250R makes more sense - in upping my riding skills that are currently at 65,000km and being a future-proof bike. To make matters worse, RaceConcepts has said that their mods will make the 150R quite a bit quicker than the 250R.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys! Cheers..
A good rider has balance, judgment, and good timing. So does a good lover!

                      • @^^^ That's me and my bike in the Video

We had made this locally in Bangalore, and the members in the Bangalore CBR250R Riders fb group know about it.
It costs 1200 bucks. It's a little heavy compared to that from Honda, but does the job perfecctly on CBR, Ninja, Duke and R15 v2.

                        • ABS Light is flashing - Need Help

                          Guys,

Today while coming to office in the morning suddenly my CBR's ABS light started flashing... Dont know how it started flashing suddenly. It was a bumper to bumper traffic...

I tried switching off the engine couple of time and tried restarting to see if the light goes off.. but no luck.. even after switching off and back on light keeps on flashing..

I read the manual and it says "If it does not go off, ABS is not functioning, but the brakes still work a Combined Brake System and provide normal stopping ability. However, you should have the system checked by your dealer as soon as possible."

                          Has anyone faced this before?

I hate going to the ASC during the weekdays! that too before 6pm!!

                          • Help in first service

Folks, My Ceeber has run 1000 kms and is due for the first service. Can someone tell me, what are the things that I've to keep in mind while giving it for the first service. (I remember Argee saying don allow them to so a wash and I am going to follow it)

Apart from changing the engine oil, what are the other stuff they do? I am pretty new to all this. Please share some gyan.

How long will this take? And I think I have to pay for the engine oil. Is there any other cost incurred?

Also, one more thing I noticed is, even in small bumps on road I feel I am thrown off the seat. I weigh a decnt 70 kgs and 5'11'' tall. This is a bit uncomfortable. When I ride with a pillion the comfort level is improved. But I love the leaning angle and cornering ability with this suspension setting. Guys, which suspension setting you recommend for a smooth ride. Also comment on the cornering ability of the bike if I change the stock setting.

Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight.

It was not that far on the map.

                            • Chandru Raj - Pls open your owner's manual & follow the services mentioned behind the first free service coupon. This is all you have to do mandatory. Force them to write all these points & any additions issues/concerns you have (like don't wash bike etc) in the JC.

                              • Galfer HH rated disc pads experience

It has been over 4k kms since I have started using the Galfer HH rated disc pads instead of the stock, and the Galfer makes a world of difference to the stopping potential of the bike and thus, the rider confidence. Now before, somebody tries to ask for clarification, let it be noted that I have ridden 3 different Ninjas before,(not for long, but enough to test the brakes). And back then, I envied the initial bite the front brake offered. That feeling of just a feather touch to the lever and the jolt of your entire body trying to get over the tank. That's what I have been missing until I got the Galfers. I am afraid to apply the brakes in traffic because I am sure no one behind me can have that potential, they are just that good. Period

The only problem though seems to be the huge front dive the bike seems to experience under such enormous force. It is not a major issue once you get used to it, but there certainly might be others who never will. Afterall, they do say No pain, No gain right? . I have used the brakes in wet, hot, humid and in the ghats(Masinagudi-Ooty-Mettupalayam nonstop). I was prepared to be disappointed by the brakes especially in the ghats filled with traffic, where you have to keep braking ever so often, making the brakes lose their efficiency. But they held their own against all odds, and worked just the way they did under any other circumstance.

Now, here is the most interesting part that almost, if not all people would be interested in, VFM. One set of disc pads cost HOLD YOUR BREATH!, 1500 rupees including international shipping (if more than one set is ordered, else 1800), while the stock pads cost believe it or not, 2000 /- odd rupees . My first set of disc pads(stock) lasted for 15800 kms after which I replaced them even though I still had some life left to use on the pads. Now, if the Galfer are just as good in the resilient department as the performance department, then I am expecting a life of atleast 20k kms from them. Now, do I need to elaborate more about the VFM this product offers .

Aargee rode my bike for a considerable stretch where he got to test the brakes, among other things. So, maybe he can drop in a few words about his feelings too (not for me, because he already told me , but for the community)
