We're aware that it is mandate by automobile law as well; most owners here also know about our bike's capabilities as well & has been discussed to death along with FAQ's put up here. That makes a full stop for the discussion on top speed as there're more to biking than top speed.Originally posted by pravin.murthy View PostError in tacho on the meter is a very common thing...are no exceptionsSkill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

My Jezebel
I got the first service done at 820km (1 month) for my Jezebel and the riding experience has improved tremendously. The engine feels smoother and less heated. But all this came at a cost of Rs. 1400 + damaged silencer plate. I don't know what went wrong with me that I just didn't notice that my silencer plate had bent and scratches over it including diesel/petrol corrosion stains. I will visit the SVC today to ask for replacement but I am not sure they will agree
Anyways how much does a silencer plate cost?

I got my 4th paid service done at 14k and currently i am at 14.7k. yesterday i checked my coolent level and it was way less than the lower mark. I think the service center guys didn't check the level of coolant during the service. Yesterday i went to the service center and asked the mechanic about it and he smiled and said that i did not check saar. I asked him why they charge about 500 for paid service?? Just for changing oil and washing?? Anyways i bought the bottle for Rs 250 and topped it my self. It took almost 200-250ml and now it is just around the upper mark.

Mail2vasant - Tell you what to do? Two things...
1. Be firm & polite to talk to the service manager of the dealership (not just the ASC) & tell him/her what happened & the repercussion of not toping up the coolant
2. Mail to Honda customer care & state what has happened
Nailing these people constantly will help us in long run.
BTW, Thank you very much for sharing your one year of ownership experience

Yes i did tell the svc manager. Actually i know him very well and he is very polite so i dont like to use harsh words talking to him. He said that it won't happen again.Originally posted by aargee View PostMail2vasant - Tell you what to do? Two things...

Dear Mik,Originally posted by Mik View PostYes, i meant the rim width (from googling i guess thats what is meant by bead to bead distance)
By the way - i partially paid for my CBR 250R today(to be used for the ladakh ride next month) - Will be taking the delivery on Tuesday - will ask the mechanic there if this swap can be done :-)
Yes, that is the rim width i.e.bead to bead distance at the top, not around the whole tread.
Please do kindly check the rims of a 150 if it is available at the ASC and post your findings. The mechanic may not have the requisite knowledge to give you a considered opinion.
And if the swap is possible, I very strongly recommend it to you especially for the forthcoming Leh ride. The confidence given by the tyres is worth the extra expense, in my opinion.
Regards,
Maneesh

@Aargee: In case you're visiting your SVC anytime soon, could you please ask them how much time it'd take for them to get the front brake master cylinder? If I don't get it here, you're my only hope. TIA!You are not a chemical. So think before you react.

Thanks. Ok will see if I can source it from there. I really do not want to claim warranty an all. Just want the brake in normal shape.
Things are getting worse by the day and it is not possible to rely on engine braking all the time. But then I don't want to keep the bike sitting in garage.
