Re: Honda CBR 250R
CBR clutches last long if you use them right. One guy changed it at 25k, one guy crossed 1,25,000 Kms on stock clutch. I'm on stock clutch at 49k Kms. How much did the clutch set cost you?Originally posted by Deathwing View PostAnyone has changed the clutch set here? And at what kms run on the odo and which year model?Last edited by leech; 06-18-2018, 01:23 PM.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
It costed around 2ish, I am due for a clutch bell change tho, clutch set is still. Good at 43000kms, I don't feel any power loss or anything, even the other day it went upto 145kmph without fuss.Originally posted by leech View PostCBR clutches last long if you use them right. why collecting spares ? why clutch assembly ?? are you nearing 100k km ????
and as for LED unit rather get a cyclops H4 7000 lumen. its been doing a flawless duty since 2 years on my bike... and i have done a quite a few night rides with it.
that LED OEM unit looks good the output is shitty.

I purchased a clutch set by mistake but.....................I'm not getting that urgency in my brakes anymore. I think a well maintained cbr can go on til 80000kms without opening up the engine.
i have recorded history of 3 CBR's in my close known people done 150k km without any engine damage. and for one we had to change the clutch plates at 120k , one was sold and the third one is still running with the meter conked off due to water seepage but the engine is running like a charm. just change oil on time. thats all it needs. 100k will be a cake walk."A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Just had some extra dough soo stocked up on spares, my clutch bell only needs replacement, clutch set is good only, but I ride my bike a bit hard but change oil on time, I'm getting a noise in my bike and it's clutch bell related which needs a change, dunno why but the noise is due to that, otherwise engine is in amazing shape, no loss in Power or anything related to that. And I will check the led setup you've mentioned, any parking light suggestions?Originally posted by theironhorse99 View Postwhy collecting spares ? why clutch assembly ?? are you nearing 100k km ????

what kind of noise. it can be as small as the clutch spindle wear. also for parking lights i am using T10 LED's off aliexpresss. i have a bag full of LED.
PM me your address will ship out if you need. also the Tail lamp has been changed to super mad bright LED with flasher. besides indicators everything has been swapped to Led."A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Got the problem checked by a known mechanic in a good friend's private service center, he told me, that this problem won't affect the performance but the noise will be there, it was very present before my last oil change.Originally posted by theironhorse99 View Postwhat kind of noise. it can be as small as the clutch spindle wear. also for parking lights i am using T10 LED's off aliexpresss. i have a bag full of LED.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
but what seems to be the problem part ? did he open the clutch assembly cover ?Originally posted by Deathwing View PostGot the problem checked by a known mechanic in a good friend's private service center, he told me, that this problem won't affect the performance but the noise will be there, it was very present before my last oil change.
what were the findings. in ideal case it should not noise. if there is it should become a chain issue causing damage to other parts."A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Aman, so you've LED-ized your entire motorcycle I reckon. Wondering, you've purchased these LED strips separately and got them soldered/installed in place of the bulbs for the tail lamp unit or you zeroed in on those combined flasher/tail lamp unit sold online?Originally posted by theironhorse99 View Postwhat kind of noise. it can be as small as the clutch spindle wear. also for parking lights i am using T10 LED's off aliexpresss. i have a bag full of LED.

Care to ship the entire strip to me!
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: Honda CBR 250R
So i went to Honda svc in Chandigarh today and asked about replacement of bs4 headlight and guy there who's is looking after cbr told me the total cost will be around 12-13k. He also said don't get it replaced as it's waste of money, instead get a good led bulb installed. He told me replacing the whole headlight to bs4 is kind of messy as it will require whole wiring to be changed.
