Recently been to honda showroom and spotted a CBR 250R,Looks great. But wonder why this is called as an Outdated bike?
Is it tech wise or performance wise??how is compared to FZ25?
I am looking to replace my unicorn 150.

        Fun Facts!

She's outdated because she suits everyone; tall or short, she takes in without any complaints.
She's outdated because she stays forever, reliable, doesn't throw temper tantrums
She's outdated because she's smooth and boring.
She's outdated because she still shines with the old armor.

        Needless to say more?

        Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        THE END

It is available in the same looks and configuration from 2011 so the people say it is outdated. Actually it is not outdated in terms of tech and performance compared to FZ 25 as we have options like Dominar 400(-20k), Apache RR310(+30k) in that price range. But neither has the classic refinement, looks, comfort and long term reliability of CBR 250. CBR 250 is a bit low on power compared to other bikes but power is not everything and it is bit pricier in terms of price per bhp. Quality, refinement and reliability commands a premium but cheaper to maintain in long terms compared to RR310.

If you are looking for VFM bike just get Dominar 400 but don't expect longterm reliability like your unicorn 150 and CBR 250. Refinement defines the long term reliability of the bike.

If you like the CBR the way it is there should not be any second thoughts based on peer comments. Take a note, though on initial days you might hear a lot of public drama, but once it grows on you there will be no look back. And remember you are coming from a Unicorn background, so Dominar might not suite you in long run in terms of smoothness and reliability. Having said that, it depends on your choice at last, do consider the riding postures of CBR 250 and FZ/Dominar prior finalizing anything.

I am looking to replace my unicorn 150.

Techwise, its the same features since it was initially launched, further the old abs came with the cbs system, where if you press the rear brake, both the front and rear were engaged. There was an expectation of honda improving the console, such as putting a gear indicator and distance to empty.

Performance wise, it is still making the same power figures, while after the launch of the CBR 300r, perhaps there was an expectation of the same being released in the country. Further compared to its competitors it does make less power.

If you are looking to replace your Unicorn, I would suggest the ABS version its an essential feature for safety and I would not compromise on that. I would suggest the bike over others such as the dominar, FZ 250 simply because this one comes with a metal tank, and you can attach a magnatic tank bag.

However, finding proper mechanics and parts is still a bit of an issue, depending where you stay you have to get in touch with a good mechanic preferably an official one as you can still claim warranty and take action if your bike is damaged in service plus a comprehensive service record is made. Parts for me take 1-3 days to arrive. This bike is good, but really temperamental if misaligned.

But depending on your use, if you want a bike with similar figures but not the CBR, for ease of use, then the 220 F Bajaj is a good option, if you want the best bang then there is the KTM 390 Duke. Or if you can live with a plastic tank, but want the fairing and abs the Gixxer 150 SF, in alternative without the abs but with a metal tank is the r15 S

Been using Cyclops H4 in my figo since a year and a half. Am happy with it except for the high beam. Throw is a little short for my liking and i had get a set of Micro Xp Bi-xenon fog lights from Xenon planet to suit my requirement.

Would suggest you to buy something from Ali express like aman said since a pair of Cyclops would probably set you back 10-14k. You can get a good set of Bi-Xenon / Bi-Led's projectors for that cost.

That is rubber chain slider. Your drive chain slides over it
Get it replaced to avoid chain noise as chain will start rubbing against your swingarm on the upper side

That is a cheap thing i guess probably hundred bucks or something.

If you are unable to procure it anytime soon, do some temporary DIY using a cable tie or something like that so that it remains in its place for sometime

Happened with me last year. It was replaced n then it never came off.
Just take ur bike to the service center n tell them to replace the part. But don't ride ur bike so much till it's replaced.
