Even I am looking to buy the CBR 250R ABS this month.. One of the dealers in Delhi was offering a Rs. 10000 discount on 2011 ABS model - approx. 1.77 lakh on road.Originally posted by allajunaki View PostIs it 2011 Model?
I, however, intend to go for the 2012 version (mainly for personal satisfaction if nothing else..) - so, is there an easy and sure shot way of knowing the month/year of manufacture of the bike before buying ? And where is the VIN on Indian CBRs ??
Also, any idea what will be the month of manufacture of the latest tri-color CBR as I intend to go for a red color but preferably from the same latest batch...

Will try finding it out; Try getting the engine/frame no that you see on any specific CBR & PM or post the number that you see on the bike & we'll take it from there.Originally posted by thebiker2k2 View Postis there an easy and sure shot way of knowing the month/year of manufacture of the bike before buying ? Most tricolors should ideally qualify under 2012 models. But if I'm unable to find out, buy one sometimes during Apr 12 or so.Originally posted by thebiker2k2 View PostAlso, any idea what will be the month of manufacture of the latest tri-color CBR as I intend to go for a red color but preferably from the same latest batch...Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Thanks XXbomb....Originally posted by xxbomb View PostFW40 costed me around Rs.1100 incl installation. This was at a Xenos authorized center. The wires were not cut, it was 'plugged' with a adapter (the same kind of plugs/adapters used in cars and other automobiles) without requirement of any ugly tapes. This was done in a very satisfactory manner.
If you do plan to get this done, insist on getting a inline fuse installed as the existing models from xenos dont come with one.
Will check with DSG and some good workshops in pune .. not sure if I will find it.. if now... will ride down to bangaluruuu

No issues.... I might be moving to get a K&N.... have to research which is the ideal model....Originally posted by allajunaki View Post@Rick ... Whoops
I meant Viscous Air Filter...
Once I get my new bike, I will update the Chassis and Engine number series.
As of now I found only OIL FILTERS... KN - 111 for 250 cc and KN-112 to for 249 cc ...
The KN - 111 is bigger than the KN - 112... .... not sure what the difference is and if its avail in india?
