Even I am looking to buy the CBR 250R ABS this month.. One of the dealers in Delhi was offering a Rs. 10000 discount on 2011 ABS model - approx. 1.77 lakh on road.
I, however, intend to go for the 2012 version (mainly for personal satisfaction if nothing else..) - so, is there an easy and sure shot way of knowing the month/year of manufacture of the bike before buying ? And where is the VIN on Indian CBRs ??
Also, any idea what will be the month of manufacture of the latest tri-color CBR as I intend to go for a red color but preferably from the same latest batch...

Will try finding it out; Try getting the engine/frame no that you see on any specific CBR & PM or post the number that you see on the bike & we'll take it from there.

Most tricolors should ideally qualify under 2012 models. But if I'm unable to find out, buy one sometimes during Apr 12 or so.

Check the website -> Specification -> Engine.

              Right from Horse's mouth
The Horse's mouth says "VISCOUS AIR FILTER" not "VISCOUS OIL FILTER"

This was done in a very satisfactory manner.

If you do plan to get this done, insist on getting a inline fuse installed as the existing models from xenos dont come with one.
                Thanks XXbomb....

Will check with DSG and some good workshops in pune .. not sure if I will find it.. if now... will ride down to bangaluruuu

No issues.... I might be moving to get a K&N.... have to research which is the ideal model....

As of now I found only OIL FILTERS... KN - 111 for 250 cc and KN-112 to for 249 cc ...
The KN - 111 is bigger than the KN - 112... .... not sure what the difference is and if its avail in india?

                        • K&N has not come up with any air filter for cbr250r as of now & if ur looking for an oil filter from K&N you can get in touch with performance racing store mumbai....but what's the advantages of a K&N oil filter over the OEM filter in terms of performance or ELF...............
