MAybe this info will be helpful.. they do have other vids on their youtube channel mostly related to cars. But again most computerised cutting shops shud be able to duplicate a key

Try the cbz extreme 2011 model blank key. I think it has the longest key among all bikes. You can get it cut at a computerized key cutter in bhubaneswar. Even he stocks blank keys with him. May be you can get CBR blank keys from him. He makes key in priyadarshini market in bhubaneswar.

I just shifted to pune. Need info about good ASC with knowledgeable mechanic as my bike need a through servicing.
1. The radiator fan is not working.
2. I have an old pgmfi unit (ECM) need to know which ASC has Honda Diagnostic System (HDS) tool.
The Ecm was manually reset the dtc wire switching method but the fuel pump does not power up. Whereas with the new ECM i rode from nagpur to pune 12hrs continuously with out any problems.

check out for members from Pune and pm them or wait out for sometime .. someone will pitch in for sure..

Thanks for the link Sir. It wasnt available couple of days back though. Order placed immediately.

Height of bad luck- Even my RTR's lockset went kaput yesterday. Only ignition ON/OFF is working. Handle aint locking. Using my old Star City to commute now. Funnily, even it has a busted lock set(You can open it with any key- I really mean, any key) But atleast it wont hurt much, if someone steals it.

Even i had my share of bad luck. My stand broke today in a mall's parking. I had to wait for my friends to get me some strong bricks. Even now at home the bike is parked on couple of bricks.

Any clue how much does that costs??

Venetian Honda is the one i have used for a year and i can say their service is strictly below average .
A simple request to top up the Brake fluid reservoir on both front and rear brakes was met with the reply "it will overflow"
and this was after the markings on the reservoir indicated 'low'.
The bike maxed out at 90kmph.. inspite of this being brought into the notice of the ASC they replaced something but the problem still persisted.
Scratch marks left at the base of the engine.
All this happening in the course of a year as i had taken a early contract thinking they might give more attention to the bike.

Present scenario is the brake reservoir fluid needs to be topped up.
The front brake pad is scrapping the disc leaving ugly scratches which needs correction
Fuel consumption has been abysmal. I have been getting anywhere between 24kmpl - 28kmpl which is less as compared to 30kmpl that i got earlier
Engine's heating up as well as compared to earlier but the temp bar's don't say so.
The front suspension is not doing its job properly as there is very little damping to absorb the potholes or uneven surfaces. The have almost "sat down".( i dont know thw technical term) All the vibrations are being delivered to the handle bar.1
All my riding is in the city. Highway trips are few. Bike is a '11 model has done around 8k kms.

In lieu to the above queries i repeat my query. Can anyone please recommend and a good ASC for the CBR250R in mumbai or a private mechanic who knows the bike ? I Live in the western suburbs.

I have done all but one service at Vihaan Honda, thane ( +912241123405 / +912241123412) and have been satisfied with their service.
They have a specially assigned mech (Abdul)who knows his way around the bike. call before you go as they are very busy most of the week.

I don't feel comfortable with local mechanics unless its something pretty basic like oiling and tightening.

P.S - I too live in suburbs but its still worth riding around 20+ kms to get it serviced at a place I know the staff is competent enough.

If you are near kothrud go to pashankar honda near kothrud flyover they are best. Sometimes they wont be able to wash your bike for some reasons but technically they are best as I know.

Two months back I repainted my engine as the paint had chipped off.

After that when I received the delivery there was a strange noise from the front sproket side.
eg: In a 360 degree rotation, at some intervals it make a rough karrr-- karrr sound.

I took it back to SVC, they put oil at that point and returned it. However the problem hadnt been solved but the noise had subsided a lot. Also, mileage also dropped a lot. Yesterday I rode for more than 20kms and the noise increased a lot. It was audible to an extent where it can be heard with the engine running at 6000rpm. The chain front and rear sprokets were replaced before the bike was handed over to SVC for repainting. Even on the day of the I handed over the bike there was no noise.

And then there was a typical metallic noise from the top side of the engine between 3500 rpm and 4500 rpm. They say it is shim noise, but I know that sound is different.

Do you have any suggestions how I can get this fixed?

A few days back I had a problem of the display going blank while riding. The LHS switches also stopped working. I suspected blown fuse but thought there would be something more to it since it happened when I pressed horn switch.
Fuse replaced and a few kms later the problem resurfaced. On thorough inspection the horn wire insulation was found to be worn which was shorting out the circuit and blowing the fuse. Had the wires covered with insulation tape and running OK since.

I had an on-off problem with the horn quality and operation for quite some time but neglected it.
It would be worth looking into if anyone has a similar problem.

Got rear brake pads replaced at 20xxx kms. Last change was at 4xxx kms & also got chain tensioner/lifter assembly (Rs 400) replaced (under warranty-had initially paid for it but when I asked on my second visit the same day, I was given a refund for the tensioner).

Hi xBhpians,

I own a one Year old CBR 250 R, which clocked 10,300 Kms so far and due for its 3rd and final free service.

I am facing Handle wobble issue around speeds of 80 Kmph and can be felt as vibration beyond that speed. The wobble is observed only when both the hands are off the handle bar.

This issue was reported to 3 different service station and the response I got is that the fork is adjusted/tightened, problem with front tire wear, incorrect tire pressure and last(funny too) during acceleration the front tire will be on air and its normal to feel this wobble at high speeds

.

Now during one of my routine disk brake pad cleaning I noticed uneven wear on front brake pads (I have attached the pictures for the reference). Now I am sure that something is wrong with the front fork but unable to understand what it might be.

Would request you guys advise me on the above said issue.
