Re: Honda CBR 250R
the tyre will be pretty much warmed up up a few laps so ... get it to Honda specs or tyre manufacturer specs..Originally posted by Mail2vasant View PostI am going for track day @ BIC this sunday. How much tire air pressure should i keep on my cbr? Any other suggestions?
30-32 psi at cold tyre should be correct.
i maybe wrong. let the experts pitch in. never done a track day hence not pretty sure how the tyre would behave."A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."

22F and 20R should be a good cold tyre pressure on track. Confirmed by a friend who rides on track regularly.Originally posted by Mail2vasant View PostI am going for track day @ BIC this sunday. How much tire air pressure should i keep on my cbr? Any other suggestions?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Few days back asked CBR mechanic what is the interval of changing engine oil, what is your suggestion? He said suggestible is ~3000 and max is 3800 km on Kolkata's weather, when I tried to cross him with 6K limit per the Honda manual he didn't replied correctly and continued to focus on the fact of local weather.
Now was this justified answer? And does the 6000 km limit specified in Honda manual for foreign countries only as Honda prints same manual globally for 250R?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Dont worry about it. I change at around 5000 kms and its perfectly OK(Odisha is much hotter than WB).Originally posted by hypheni View PostFew days back asked CBR mechanic what is the interval of changing engine oil, what is your suggestion? Funny thing is, my ASC mech, some days back, told me to get better engine oils from outside. He is not satisfied with the Honda Oil. :O
. Yes, He is not satisfied!!!!
Normally i ride around 80-90 Kph, I dont have any complain about the Company Spec oil, but after his comments, I am eager to check.Last edited by sambit; 09-18-2014, 10:45 PM.HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3

Re: Honda CBR 250R
One small doubt for me regarding the low tyre pressure, the Service adviser from the honda showroom said that my handle bar wobble is due to low air pressure in the front tyre. If he is true then low tyre pressure in track translates to poor feedback/handling from the bike right??Originally posted by Sid85 View Post22F and 20R should be a good cold tyre pressure on track. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Respected forum members & CBR Owners,
As I mentioned my CBR starting problem in the forum post number #14551 about sudden engine shut down issue and the battery of my CBR is in good condition #14553 Today I faced sevior startup issue - After those forum post I didn't drive bike much as I face tyre related issue - So the bike stay home as stationary but every 2/3 days interval I start the bike for 15min for warm up or ideling and there is no problem till now.
Today when I try to visit nearest tyre shop, I experinced the bike start normally as usual after 1 min ideling when I try to shift in 1st Gear the engine suddenly loose his life and completly refuse to start. After long trial & error (Push first / Remove battery terminal & check battery voltage / Remove the cap of Air filter / Remove the Air filter & finally it start) and I'm able to visit my destination and come back (5-7km max) with out any problem like there is nothing happen - just like all in my mind like bad dream.
Once I settled and park the bike at home and switch it off - Then try to start and here it is again the night mare is back.
Above youtube video demonestrate the my situation completly - Sound it is making like bad satrter - but just before this incident bike traveled for atleat 5-7 km without any issue.
I know I have to approch SVC but I want to know - what is the cause of these ? Or sensor failure ? Is it bad starter ?
Os is it the first sign of Engine Sezire ?
Your valuable inputs are welcome...Last edited by Neel08; 09-19-2014, 10:52 PM.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Word is that the CBR current version production is stopped. So there should be some update coming up. So better to wait it out if you are patient enough.Originally posted by paths_of_glory View PostI want to buy a CBR
Is it good to order now or wait for cbr250 twin headlight
When is it going to come?
Cheers

Re: Honda CBR 250R
When I wrote to Honda customer care, they informed that they had no plans of launching CBR300R & 500R. All they could confirm is the availability of 250R based on booking - said 1 month for non ABS variant & 4 months for ABS. The local dealers at Chennai maintained 3 to 4 months waiting period.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostWord is that the CBR current version production is stopped. Seems to me, Honda is in a wait & watch mode due to declining sales of 150 & (not that good numbers of) 250. I think it's a fact across manufacturers.
RC series from KTM may be euphoria now. But, after the initial surge dies down, when demand starts to taper, that's when one starts feeling the pinch. Point is, while we can't write off performance biking in India, I guess it didn't really take off too well (@ 250 - 500 cc), with actual action being at supersport & superbike levels.
Look at Indonesia or Thailand, these launches happen there often, due to steady demand. In our case, not many riders are willing to take the step ahead, due to various reasons. And the local bike makers (Bajaj & TVS) give a tough fight in terms of VFM products.

I think you should write to their customer care or call them up & base your decision on the outcome.Originally posted by paths_of_glory View PostI want to buy a CBR

That said, the current model is still not phased out (but they do produce only on demand), and it's just a matter of your preference of the looks.
