Is there any other company than Continental that produces 110/ 70 R17 tyres?

      Michellin- 100/80 R17 for Rs.1760

Is it okay to put Duke's front tyres from MRF . Its also 110/70

If the duke has the same dimensions then go forward with it..

the mrf website has the pic of the mrf zapper FY (the ones coming on the newer batches of the cbr 250) but i haven't been able to find it in any mrf stores here. Try you r luck there, the dimension is the same as stock.

I just got the Dunlop last week and finished about 1000 kms with it. Price = 3350/ - (including fitting)

The grip is definitely better than Contigo. Although its still a bit jittery in wet conditions, but not as bad as Contigo. The dry / gravel grip is excellent!

Nice! I noticed that the tyre profile is rounder than the flat contigos. How about the grip levels when the knees go out?

You can also try IRCs. The N300 comes with IRCs and the specs are same as that of CBR250R. 110/70 front and 140/70 rear.

Yesterday, checked my fuel efficiency for the first time. Believe it or not, it was a sensational 34.9 kmpl, using full tank method. I had made sure that riding was mostly below 5k rpm, mostly 70% city riding and rest highways; also, did occational speed bursts upto 110kmph. Also, no rapid acceleration or under-acceleration at any point of time. Feel great !! Anyone else experience similar figures?

                  Cheers,

yup, and if you keep the bursts out, you can get 48 kmpl also, which I used to get during my run in period and consequently keeping the vehicle under 5 rpm, so if you can sacrifice speed you can get a very good mileage. however please make sure that you do cause engine knocking.

                    Regards
                    Manan.

^^. Nice FE mate. I also keep my bike <5K RPM most of time but didn't measured the FE till now.

Anyone can clarify me why my RPM meter doesn't touch 0 ?. While starting or in signal I noticed it remains at 1.5K. Didn't see it on 0 till now when the engine is ON. Bike only completed 514km - 1st service done.

                        Hello,
Assuming the bike is stock in a good condition, what is the worst mileage one can expect under very stressful useage? such as rapid acceleration then rapid slow down using engine breaking[a lot] then repeat, and keeping the rpms at a high level say 8.5 being the max and not redlining the engine. I am just curious as, because it is a fuel injected vehicle, the amount consumed at an rpm must be somewhat constant correct?

                        Regards

                        Manan.

I am facing a strange issue. Ideally the bike should not start up in gear without pressing the clutch but mine is starting even without pressing the clutch. When the bike is in gear and if i press the starter button, the bike moves forward. Any clue?? I will visit asc this saturday.

Because the engine is turning over even at idling. As long as the engine is running, you'll never see zero RPM. RPM = Revolutions/Rotations Per Minute.
It states number of revolutions made by the engine to keep your bike running. (layman terms).

My room mate in CHN used to ride in the very same manner until he met with an accident and improved his habits. He used to get 22-25 kmpl.

No. It should start even in gear. My bike starts all the time. It would of course jerk and stop, but irrespective of gear, the engine would always turn over when cranked!
